Lumen Vision

Dr. Ryan and his team at Lumen Vision are excellent. It is very evident there is a fun and joyful culture throughout the clinic. Dr. Ryan has a wealth of knowledge and explains things thoroughly and in terms that are easy to understand. He loves his work and his upbeat attitude is contagious. His staff was very helpful in choosing frames even though I wasn’t very decisive. I also love that there is the option to schedule appointments online and contact re-order is available in a way that ensures I’ll have my new contacts when I need them. It is clear the entire experience is very intentional and seamless. My family is so grateful for Dr. Ryan and his team.

When I first started working with Lumen I was wearing glasses and had prism glasses as well. I recommend giving them a try as they helped me to get my eye sight back and out of glasses. They are so thoughtful and helpful plus they really care and your health is a priority for them. Each and everyone of the employees are super helpful and friendly. I’m almost 60 years old and your not too old to do eye therapy. Give it a shot you won’t regret it.

A VISION TEAM WHO LISTENS! I recently had a 2nd appointment with the team at Lumen Vision, including Doctors Ryan and Gavin. I have been experiencing ongoing dizziness and double vision since a diagnosed concussion in October of 2025. I have an excellent team that includes an incredible Occupational Therapist, two Physical therapists, and an awesome Speech Therpist.. They all caught very early on that I most likely had a neuro-optamology related injury. They did their best to request Doctors at both Sanford and now Essentia conduct a Neuro-Optamology exam, so they referred me for neurology exams and each time the Drs at Sanford and now Essentia failed to conduct the testing my team wanted. I had endured 3 different appointments (by that time and now a 4th) with Neurologists outside of the Lumen Team, this included a complete NeuroPsych exam. Every Dr said there was no reason for my Double Vision or dizziness, and gaslighted me and most, if not all of my symptoms. When my team finally gave-up on referring me to the Doctors at Sanford and now Essentia, where I was continually gaslit and honestly accused of lying about my symptoms. My Occupational Therapist referred me to the Team at Lumen. I CANNOT stress enough how THANKFUL I am that I was referred to Lumen. Doctor Ryan and his team at Lumen were able to catch something NONE of the Doctors at Essentia or Sanford did, yet all four of my Therapists suspected, my eyes were not aligned. I needed something called Prism Glasses... Prism glasses help your eyes team together to form one image. I had experienced now 9 months of double vision and CONSTANT dizziness without the Prisms... it seems so obvious, I do NOT understand how the other Doctors did not catch it... Maybe it's because the other Doctors weren't listening. They all heard what they wanted to hear, ignored the things they didn't want to hear, and they painted a picture of me that was untrue and frankly put my health and life in jeopardy for the last 9 months. I will be completely candid, I do NOT know how much more I could tolerate... I was admittedly at my breaking point. NOBODY else listened, but Lumen did! Doctor Ryan, Doctor Gavin and Optical Coordinator Amanda, I cannot say thank you enough! Thank you for listening. Thank you for caring. Thank you for helping me get my life back! My 11yr old son had a wonderful experience with Lumen Vision. The staff was great to work with. My son enjoyed going to appointments and the homework was very geared to what he needed. Highly recommend Lumen Vision if your child or you are struggling with eye problems.

We brought our two children to Lumen vision and had an absolutely great experience. I specifically appreciated the focus on making the experience positive for kids. I also appreciated that Dr. Ryan was open and honest about when our kids could start going to a regular eye doctor and was always willing to try the easiest and most reasonable treatment first rather than pushing unnecessary therapy or treatments.
