Manchester Eyecare

It was my yearly check and from the time I walk in the door people were great. Preceded seeing the doctor the care person explain and did all the test with up most professionalism. Then never seeing the eye doctor before he was great explaining everything to me and suggesting I have cataracts surgery in both eyes. Then they set me up with the surgeon office for appointment. Explain I will go through an exam like I just had to make sure it was the right move plus explain all the procedures. Big thank to all of them.

Another great North Manchester healthcare experience. The medical people in this town are always a joy (I'm serious) to spend time with. All around excellent. If you like too many details, here are some: The front desk staff greeted me and were very friendly. They sorted out some insurance issues I had been having (not with them) which went above and beyond, in my opinion! The technology in this office was advanced and fascinating, and the nurse/tech explained it to me every step of the way, so I felt included and not rushed (friendly and efficient!). Dr. VanGessel is outstanding. He explained everything, and seemed genuinely interested in his job. As usual, I have too many questions, and he was happy to explain as much as I needed. Liz helped me pick out a great set of glasses and didn't push the expensive upgrades, she just made me aware of them (they do have a lot of add-ons if you like things like transition lenses). At a certain point you have too many good things to say and it sounds suspicious. So I'll say that it was really cold outside today (the office was warm). But seriously, stop by!

Warm, receptive staff. Highly detailed exams, especially checking for changes in my early stages of macular degeneration. Thoughtful presence and patient-oriented checkout, providing every benefit my insurance offered. Thank you Manchester Eyecare. I am glad you are here!

Dr VanGessel was very patient and thorough in answering all my questions about my daughter’s appointment. He was very kind and fun with my daughter as well, and she felt totally comfortable during her exam. We had a great experience with him and will continued to use Manchester Eyecare!

My husband and I both think that Dr Van Gessel is one of the best providers we have ever met. He is friendly, provides great explanations and has exquisite bedside manner. We are happy to have found the best doctor for eye care in our area!!! We highly recommend Dr Van Gessel!!
