Owner is rude and retaliative. I got an eye exam and the doctor (who was very nice) ordered contacts for me without mentioning price or confirming the order. Because they were almost double the cost of ordering the same exact contacts online, I let them know I did not approve the order and would buy them online instead. While they did approve the return eventually, the owner was incredibly rude and retaliative about it and said some very mean and unnecessary things, and said that they would charge me extra (more than my copay) any time I ever wanted to see the eye doctor again and would choose to refuse my insurance, which I think is also illegal. Do not recommend! The eye doctor and the staff were all super nice though, just beware of the owner and the super marked up prices! EDIT: This is a very nice reply from the business and I appreciate it, but want to clarify that it is absolutely NOT accurate to what occurred or reflective of my experience in person. The tone of the language around the refusal of insurance was actually cold and unprofessional, distinctly including the words “for the rest of your life”. I am glad that the owner is able to leave nice replies and hope for some improvement in his attitude toward patients moving forward, but urge any prospective new patient or customer to steer clear. A healthcare provider is somewhere you want to feel safe and taken care of, rather than somewhere things can go wrong and the provider is not on your side and actually yelling at you in person. Regarding the pricing, I admit I do not know the MSRP, but I will say the online retailers offered far superior prices, but perhaps this is more so with deals and coupons. So perhaps it is more accurate to say that the contacts here were not technically overpriced, but that it was easy to find contacts online that were technically underpriced and were ultimately a much better deal.
