Scheduled a sports physical for my son. We also need a sickle cell test to submit to his college which we were told they would do for us at that appointment. When they called his name the nurse asked me to stay in the waiting despite the fact that my son wanted me to come back. She said the doctor prefers it that way and would call me back to talk after the exam. He DID NOT come out to talk to me. My son is a minor! When my son came out he said the doctor found a polyp in his right nostril and he will NOT call an order in for the sickle cell test. He said that is not what the the appointment was for??? What? The wonderful young lady at the front desk, Alexis ( She deserves a 5 star!) was such a HUGE help communicating with him to get the order for the sickle cell and to call a script in for a steroid for the polyp. He refused to come out to talk to me after several requests that I wanted to speak to him! My son and I both had questions that were not answered! We paid to out of pocket to have this exam complete. The doctor kept telling my son and I that this was a sports physical and if we wanted all the other stuff we should have scheduled a different type of exam - WHAT? Educating a minor who is an avid athlete going to college to play football who had questions about diet, vitamins and supplements should have definitely been inclusive of that exam but was told it wasn't! The polyp he found can affect his breathing while he is playin a sport but calling a steroid in or at best INFORMING HIS MOTHER of the polyp was not part of the sports physical either according to Shervan Mohan! Terrible experience for my son! I would NEVER recommend anybody to see Shervan Mohan!! He provided the absolute worst customer service! I am filing a complaint with an ombudsman as well as with the medical board! I was not the only person in the waiting room who had a complaint about him that day! Schedule your exams with ANYBODY else but him if you want to have a good experience and especially if you are going with a minor!
