I had a wonderful experience from start to finish at Maryland eye center. Front desk Jen was friendly, welcoming, and made check-in quick and easy. They were very helpful and made me feel comfortable right away. Tech Josue and Karen were professional and knowledgeable. They both explained everything clearly and made the exam process smooth and stress-free. Kelsey in optical was fantastic! She helped me find the perfect frames and made the experience enjoyable and easy. Overall, the entire team provided excellent customer service. I truly appreciate their kindness and professionalism and would highly recommend this office!

Dr. Lizabeth and the other staff were all very kind and I did not have issues with their care during my appointment. My issue is with this office's insurance policies and intake at this office. I chose this office as they were a "preferred provider" on my vision insurance website. I booked an appointment on the website and got a phone call asking that I also provide me health insurance. I showed up to my appointment on a Monday afternoon - taking time away from work - to be told that this was going on my medical insurance and would be large fee because of my deductible. They gave me the option to reschedule since that specific doctor they scheduled me with only took medical insurance. So, I was given an appointment the next day at 8:20 am. I arrived at the rescheduled appointment - now taking more time away from my job - and was told I could be seen but would not be able to have retinal imaging as this was a "medical" charge. I have a family history of eye conditions and it is important that I make sure I get the proper care to monitor for any signs - retinal imaging is covered by my VSP insurance and I have had it done at other optometry appointments. I explained this and was told that despite my insurance covering it, it is not the policy of your practice to do that under vision insurance and I can only have that if I switch to medical insurance. Dr. Lizabeth did check the back of my eyes and followed through with the rest of the eye care appointment. Again - my issue is not with the staff who were very kind, but the intake process and insurance policies that made me have to do two visits to the office and not get the full care I was expecting and is covered. There should be better clarity and expectations set for patients as I also saw someone else be turned away from their appointment because they did not want to have to pay the copay since they never had had to before (based on what I heard from the receptionist, it seemed like the same medical vs vision insurance discrepancy)
Poor customers service from the guy handling glasses pick up. Very condescending approach, talked to me like I am dumb. Even when I told him not to talk to me in that manner, he persisted. I got a wrong prescription glasses , I paid $350 from my purse for the visit outside what the insurance covered. I came back after two weeks of trying to work the glasses to no avail and he enjoyed talking to me as if I don’t understand anything. I left the glasses for him to keep and walked out. I was one of the few patient at this establishment when the door opened in 2002 and I have brought all my family here. So sad we just have to leave like this. Thank you for those that were good over the years but unprofessional people have no place in public services.
Excellent staff and a very clean office. The kiosk check-in was easy—just have your ID and insurance card ready. The staff works hand in hand to assess your needs and check your vision before seeing the doctor, moving you from room to room like a smooth baton pass in an Olympic relay. Dr. Marsh was quick and efficient. They even offer snacks, which was a nice added touch. Overall, a great experience.
Out of all the individuals who assisted me at this office, Daniel stood out the most. He was warm, kind, and friendly—the perfect example of exceptional healthcare customer service. He listened attentively and made sure my requests were taken care of. His professionalism and genuine care made the experience positive.
