I was really disappointed with my experience. I called ahead of time to ask if they could look up my insurance information, since most places are able to do that. Unfortunately, the person who answered the phone was very rude and not helpful at all. I’ve actually been coming to this optometrist since I was younger and had hoped to continue going there. However, because of that interaction, I decided to call another office. They were able to look up my insurance without any problem and I ended up scheduling my appointment with them instead. It’s unfortunate because I would have preferred to stay with the optometrist I grew up seeing, but customer service really makes a difference.

I don't know if this doctor realizes he comes off overbearing. I don't believe it's intentional. He's not threatening at all but he's very lecture-like and a bit arrogant. He also pressed me in a confrontational tone, about why I didn't return to him over the last 6 years? But it was really because I had the money at the time to pay out of pocket for a friendlier experience, but this time I didn't and my insurance now covers 1 exam and 1 glasses for every 2 years and he had openings. Well, he messed up my rx. I got my glasses and I didn't take them because I can actually see much better without them. I believe he transposed my axis with left/right on my rx. I was willing to let him correct it but then he left me a message to bring in my OLD rx to see if I may just use the old one! What is the point of getting a new RX then?! I was reluctant, but twice, I tried to bring in my old RX but his office is always locked during business hours. I just lost any confidence I had left. Far too inconvenient. I don't have coverage again until 2026, so I'll need to pay out of pocket somewhere else because I need them to drive! Frustrating.

I think the first impression is very important, I came to this office for the first time and I come in and you get the impression that the person in the front don’t want to work they just look at you and I’m sorry but they have a job because of us (the Patients) I worked in the medical field and we REPRESENT the Doctor/of any specialty …. Dr yang I hope you see this.
