I love Midwest Eye Center!!!! From check in to leaving all of the staff were amazing. Very polite and friendly. Answered every question and concern. If I could rate them 1000 I definitely would.
Did not have a great experience here. My appointment was scheduled at 1 pm, and it took until around 1:55 pm for me to be seen. I normally consider myself a patient person but at around 1:40 pm even I was wondering what was up and asked the receptionist if there were any unforeseen issues to cause such a delay. Unfortunately the issues didn't end there. I was seen by Dr. Elpers to remove four small milia located near my eye. While she was a friendly doctor and easy to talk to, she was not successful in removing any of the milia. I consider myself "lucky" in that at least the situation wasn't worsened but I'm extremely disappointed they still remain. Hoping my experience was just an anomaly, but I'd advise others to look elsewhere.
Beginning on the phone, the lady told me they take my insurance. When I got there from a 45 minute drive, they said they don’t take my insurance. They said it would be $200-$700 just for the exam alone and I would not know the price until AFTER the appointment. My nurses bedside manner felt rushed. I feel I was blown off with some of the things I was trying to tell her. When we didn’t eye test, she never made the letters bigger when I was unable to read them. Then the doctor came in and told me I had 20/30 vision. I went there because I was dizzy all the time making it hard to see and read. My eyes have never been 20/30 in my whole life’. I was asking the doctor for a letter and he interrupted and said he knew. At the end I asked him if he would write it and he said, what letter? For what? I am very disappointed in Midwest Eye Center. I will not be going back.
The staff at MidWest Eye Center were great abd very helpful. I knew what to expect when I walked in, they were very thorough making sure they new exactly what my issues were and how to resolve them.
