Usually have to wait hours to be seen by doctor. Today went smoothly, was out in hour. I do like my doctors, which is the reason I keep coming back. Also staff are very friendly & knowledgeable. It is convenient that i can check-in on line.
I've been a patient at Midwest Eye Center in Calumet City for more than 10 years. While there have been a few minor issues along the way, my overall experience has been very positive - no place is perfect. The staff has consistently been pleasant, patient, and accommodating. I'm especially happy with my new doctor, Dr. Al-Khaled; she really takes the time to listen and explain things clearly. My only on-going concerns is that reaching the office by phone can be quite difficult.
I enjoy coming to Midwest Eye Center. The facility is clean and comfortable. The staff is cordial yet professional. They are well trained and perform their tasks with the patient’s comfort in mind. My insurance changed recently. I thought I would have to find a new ophthalmologist. Fortunately, I didn’t have to. I am very pleased with Midwest Eye Center.
I have Humana HMO, and when I called to make appointment I was told that I needed a referral for Humana, I called to request referral I was told that it would be in system within 72 hours. So when I called back to schedule appointment I was told by person who scheduled the appointment that referral was in system and I was able to schedule appointment. I showed up for my appointment on time. I was told to be seated until my name was called. And I waited 30mins while others came in after me were waited on. I went to counter and was told that they had to create a referral, because the person that scheduled the appointment didn’t enter it in system. I was not told all that time I was waiting there was an issue. I offer to call and ins co. So for my first visit was not a good experience. The doctor was great. But the intake needs improvement. Because the communication was not there.
