I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other patients should know about my experience. My son was fitted for contact lenses here and immediately began experiencing headaches after wearing them. We brought him back for a follow-up appointment to address the issue. Instead of taking his concerns seriously, we felt they were dismissive and made little effort to determine why he was having problems. Since the headaches continued, we attempted to schedule another visit to finally resolve the issue. Rather than standing behind their work or helping a patient who was still having problems with contacts they prescribed, we were simply told it was "too late" and that we'd have to pay out of pocket. What disappointed me most wasn't just the additional cost—it was the complete lack of concern. When a patient reports ongoing headaches after receiving contacts, I expect an eye care provider to investigate and work toward a solution, not make the patient feel like they're an inconvenience. We left feeling dismissed, unheard, and unsupported. I can't recommend a practice that treats patients this way.

My 7yr old son was complaining of eye pain after I picked him up at school and so I rushed him to our regular eye doctor only to find they didn't have a doctor in today. I then proceeded to call 15 different offices trying to find somewhere to bring him in to have a professional look at his eye (as most urgent care or emergency centers don't always specialize in eye care). THANKFULLY Milford Eye Care was able to take him in immediately and not only that, they were SO KIND, understanding and helpful to us. They made me feel seen and made our entire experience (from phone to leaving) so warm, simple and enjoyable. The office is sparkling clean, spacious and beautiful. Every staff member was incredibly kind and I absolutely would return (and will likely switch to them even though it's not as convenient as our regular office) because our experience was THAT wonderful. Thank you so so much and I highly recommend this office!
First visit. Everyone is upbeat and friendly! They provided an explanation of results as well as answering my questions in detail. Place is cute with fun decor around vision. My appointment included an eye exam as well as glasses and contact fitting. So nice to not feel like I am on an assembly line.
I had a really disappointing experience at this office. I came to my appointment after my glasses broke to get a new prescription for a new pair. the only way I could safely drive there was by wearing my wife’s contacts temporarily. As soon as Dr McBride saw this, she immediately judged and scolded me, saying contacts are a “medical device” and that I should never do that. I explained that I literally could not see to get to my appointment and this was not a regular occurrence. Her response was that I should “just have an extra pair of glasses.” That comment felt incredibly privileged and out of touch. Not everyone can afford backup glasses sitting around for emergencies. Instead of showing any empathy or understanding, I felt talked down to and shamed. The interaction made me uncomfortable and like I didn’t want to come back. I expected professionalism and compassion, but got judged instead.
Dr. Weber was awesome. Previously I've bounced around eye care facilities not really feeling that great about any of them but Milford Eye Care really impressed me. The appointment setup was smooth, the eye exam was by far the easiest, least stress inducing exam I've had. Also, I loved the digital imaging process of my eyes. The doctor really took the time to show me the images and explain what they actually depicted in terms I could understand. I left feeling much more educated about my eyes than when I went in. Their frame selection was also good and the fitting process easy. My exam was on a Tuesday and they had my Glasses on my face by Friday at 9am! Talk about turn around speed! I've never had glasses take less than ~10 business days. Overall I don't think I could say a bad word about my experience and will absolutely re-book with Milford Eye Care for my next eye appointment instead of bouncing like I previously have.
