Mobile Optometrist

Please be careful. My eyes were perfectly fine and I had no complaints. I went for a routine annual exam they charged me for a comprehensive medical exam which I did not ask for nor did I know that they were doing that instead of a routine exam. They also did not offer me my discount off of glasses that comes with my insurance. The prices for glasses are overinflated. What's worse is that it has been over 2 weeks since my visit and my eyes have never been the same. They have been stinging, itching, hurting and blurry ever since. I've never had allergies or issues with my eyes until after my visit. They do not sanitize the glasses for trying on and I did not see them disinfect the equipment. The office manager was rude and dismissive and could care less about my concerns. When I told Dr Cohen about the issue with my eyes after the visit, he just said that I probably had allergies (which I never had before the visit) and gave me OTC artificial tears. At no point did anyone from this office take ownership of the lack of transparency and harm done to me. I definitely do not recommend this office. I came here with a pair of eyeglass frames that my grandmother gave me shortly before she passed away — they are priceless to me. When I explained this and asked a few simple questions to be sure they wouldn’t be misplaced, the manager, Ali, was cold, dismissive, and very unprofessional. She brushed off my concerns and even told me that if I didn’t stop asking questions, she wouldn’t work on my glasses. A couple of minutes after I left, she actually called me to say she refused to do them altogether. As someone who has worked in healthcare for 11+ years, compassion and respect matter deeply — and I left this place feeling hurt, disrespected, and shocked by how poorly I was treated. I would strongly urge others to think carefully before trusting something meaningful here.

I went to Dr. Cohen to get fitted for contacts. My appointment was scheduled for 5:10, I was called up at 5:55. That was the only downside. After getting fit for contacts, the doctor directed me to one of their specialists that assisted me in placing the contacts in/out of my eyes. They were very patient and all very happy and friendly. I loved my experience here other than the wait time.

My father is a patient. His glasses dropped and the lens popped out. He did purchase the glasses from them. Took them back to the office to see if they can just pop them back in. They did, with no wait and no charge. Thanks.

Dr. Cohen is great. Definitely my favorite optometrist and I’ve been to a few places. This is my go to Guy, excellent, professional down to earth and friendly, and the rest of the staff at the Place is just as friendly as well. I highly recommend this place. It’s the best.
