My name is Gerald Bruce Moore and I have been a patient at Morganton Eye for several years. I have always received only the very best treatment! Dr. John Flack is fantastic and possesses the perfect demeanor for what he does . . . very professional and knowledgeable yet genuinely interested in the patient! He's the best! I recently needed immediate attention from eye irritation, itching, and burning as a result of a bug shell becoming attached to my eyeball. I called the Office at 8:00 am requesting an appointment. Haley was extremely competent and caring as she handled my information. She notified the right people and called me back in several minutes telling me to come in immediately. I walked in at 8:40 a.m. and walked out at 9:00 a.m,. having received the best treatment in the world by the following people . . . Roberto (?), Lea, Emily, and Dr. Landon Sturdivant. Dr. Sturdivant possesses the perfect blend of professionalism and personal concern and care for the patient. He quickly and efficiently removed the shell attached to my eye. I am deeply grateful that I had access to such wonderful care from a truly amazing healthcare team! I was in excruciating pain and couldn't have been treated better by all! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

I had an absolutely outstanding experience at this eye clinic from start to finish. The office staff were personable, welcoming, and clearly very knowledgeable—they made the entire process smooth and stress-free. Dr. Bonfield was exceptional. His bedside manner is top-tier—he was highly engaged, took the time to explain everything clearly, and made me feel completely comfortable and confident in my care. The technicians were just as impressive—friendly, relatable, and professional across the board. A special shoutout to Nicole, who was truly amazing. She went above and beyond to make the experience feel personal and easy. You can tell this team genuinely cares about their patients. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for quality care and a great overall experience!
Only Thing I Negative To Say About Are The Prices, But That's Not Truly On This Business! But Morganton Eye Is Pretty Good And As Far As I Could Tell This Business Has Seem To Have A Fully New Kinda Of Staff From Alot Of The Older Staff, But This Business Has Always Been Super Clean & Service Is Pretty Prompt Courteous An So Morganton Eye Seems To Cover A Lot Of Eye Related Service And Needs & I Guess They Service The Little One's As Well! So Yeah This Is My Review Morganton Eye Is Great!!
I only gave this score for the incident that occurred with my exam. Please note each and every support staff I dealt with was superb and worthy of 5 stars. I told at least three support staff my eye was very sensitive and itchy. The doctor opened the door and threw on all the overhead lights, told me to look up and open my eyes. Let me first say, I have extremely sensitive eyes to bright light. Ever since I had catarac surgery, bright light is downright painful. I told him I couldn't open my eyes because the light was too bright (especially after sitting a darkened room.) That would be like me, as a doctor of Dentistry, walking into a room and putting cold water on a sensitive tooth. He clearly does NOT have any eye sensitivity! It seemed mean, like my having been worked in was a thorn in his side. I've seen him one other time and he does lack warmth, but many MD's do. Note to Doc: elderly patients have more sensitive etptes. Especially blue-eyed patients.
This is a update: I went in on Dec 12th for glasses. I was told they would be 4-6 weeks. 2 months later i finally have my glasses. Evidentally their lab isnt worried about when patients get their glasses. The lab seems to drag their feet. However, the girls in the office have always been very nice and professional!! You make your decision if you want to wait 2 months for glasses or not. As far as the glasses they fit perfect, and i am very thankful to have them!
