I just had my annual checkup with Doctor Koenig. I had a great experience. The technician that performed several tests at the outset of my visit was excellent, including answering my questions about some of the equipment. Doctor Koenig was a great. He is very knowledgeable and professional but also delightful to chat with. He spent ample time with me, told me how I was doing, and gave me a heads up on future things that might occur. All in all, I had an excellent experience.

Mt. Baker Vision has been my clinic of choice since I moved to Bellingham in 1995. They have excellent and knowledgeable eye doctors, professional staff, and very friendly experts who will select glasses right there in the office with you! I have always found a pair of chic glasses there. You can make appointments easily and they will get you in fast. Yesterday I saw Dr. Koning, who explained the images of my eye taken earlier in expert fashion using a model of the eye to make me visualize what I was seeing. He determined the glasses I needed within 10 minutes. Lisa gave me the choice of continuing with my old frames and new lenses instead of getting expensive new frames. I have been very impressed with their professionalism and kindness over many decades.

Best experience that I’ve ever had getting an eye exam. This was my first visit to Mt Baker Optical, and the student Optometrist was so thorough. She was super friendly and knowledgeable, you would think that she had been licensed for years. I then met another gal who helped me with my contact lens and eyeglass purchase, and she also was so friendly, patient and helpful. I could not have asked for better service from these two ladies!

The front desk staff were helpful and had excellent follow up when I phoned back after my appointment with some adjustments to my plan of care. Dr. Steven Koning was engaging and competent and took the time to explain and answer questions. The tech that did some of the testing was friendly and professional. Overall a great experience!

Several days ago had my annual physical by Robert W. Nash, MD. As a physician myself, and having some limited experience with the performance of slit lamp exams, I can happily report that I had an excellent outcome. The preliminary ocular tests by Lisa, his assistant, and Nash himself, were thorough and well explained. I would recommend this team wholeheartedly.
