If you're looking for quick, convenient, and efficient eye care, this is not the place. I’ve been going to Nationwide for a couple of years, mainly because it was the easiest option available at the time. However, this past year has been especially frustrating. They now seem to only have a doctor physically available one day a week. Most visits are done remotely, with you sitting in a room for 30–45 minutes while the provider runs behind on Zoom, and someone awkwardly sits there waiting to manually operate the equipment. The experience feels impersonal and rushed, like you're just another time slot rather than a patient receiving care. Additionally, I have a known retinal condition that I’ve had my entire life. I am already established with a retina specialist who has advised that monitoring every 3–5 years is sufficient due to stability. Despite explaining this at every visit, Nationwide repeatedly treats it like new information and tries to refer me out—often to the same specialist I already see. It feels like they are not listening or reviewing patient history at all. On top of that, glasses take an excessive amount of time to arrive, and getting a new contact prescription turns into a drawn-out process involving multiple visits, special ordering, and additional co-pays each time. Additionally, the new portal where I should be able to access my health information... yeah none of it is in there and I have to go in just to get my prescription printed so I can scan it to my computer. At this point, the experience feels driven more by corporate process and billing than actual patient care. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.

This is the absolute worst eye care provider in Tucson. Made appointments for my whole family of seven only for them to leave me a voicemail the week of the appointments saying they don't allow that many family appointments in one day so they cancelled... ALL of them. I called them back and left a voicemail expressing my frustration and requesting a call back but I of course have not heard back. This is only the most recent miserable experience I've had with them. If you value good service, or any service for that matter, I encourage you to look elsewhere.
Great service and good advice. Very close to what I experienced in Simi Valley CA so cudos to this location. This will be my goto vision provider in the Vail AZ area now!
Excellent experience at Nationwide Vision! Cheryl was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and friendly throughout the entire process. She made everything easy and stress-free. Great customer service and a fantastic team—I highly recommend them!
The office is clean and we were treated well. We were a bit surprised when we had our eyes dilated and surprised how long they stayed that way but they worked to do good by us.
