I was contacted by the receptionist to schedule an appointment, no pleasantries just a very straightforward schedule to an appointment a month out and requested to arrive 15 minutes early. No paperwork was sent or contact was made after that point to confirm the appointment, I decided to call a week in advance of the appointment to confirm my it's still being held, receptionist was extremely rude, interrupted me several times so I didn't feel too confident with this office. Soon as you open the door the overwhelming smell of urine is hard to ignore, I requested a phone call as the waiting room was packed like sardines. 30 minutes go by, go inside and ask their reply "it's going to be a while there's a lot of patients ahead of you." So much for appointment time but we wait another 30 and ask again. They decide to let me go in front of someone else, so I stand outside the front door for another 5 minutes waiting to be called, and decide to leave as it's clear by now this is not a professional establishment. As I'm pulling out of the parking lot they call me, I inform them it's an hour past my appointment time, I can't wait around all day if they refuse to honor appointments scheduled over a month in advance. I can't comment on the competence of the optometrists, but if they employ that front staff they can't be that great of a bunch themselves. I was there for an "acute angle closure glaucoma attack" classified as a medical emergency. They showed no concern for my primary doctors request.
