Newsom Eye – Brooksville

Wonderful place to get an eye exam! Anthony updated my prescription and was very professional. Explaining the process to reduce any fear I had. Shay at the Front desk was also very kind. She was able to efficiently check my insurance and inform me of copays / benefits for new glasses. I did not have to wait long and the exam was quick and painless. All of the rooms were very clean. The building was large with a great waiting room and water available. They also have a large selection of glasses to choose from. Would recommend to anyone needing an eye exam or any other vision services! Seriously impressed with the wait time they seem well staffed.

Dr. Snyder and Natalie from her team have been so helpful over the phone. My insurance has given me a hard time over the eyedrops Dr. Snyder prescribed and they’ve been incredibly helpful here in getting it solved with me. Bless their hearts I’ve had to call at least 5 times now to have them do something for me b/c of insurance and they always answer, get to it quickly, and they have followed up with me every time to make sure it’s getting done. Thank y’all. The in person front desk ladies are also good at their jobs and try hard for people.

I have high option VSP. I went to the office with a prescription from my eye doctor. After battling a half hour of up selling I ordered what I always have. Progressive lenses. I got them and was not used to how heavy they were so just wore them part time and also my old ones. My old ones were misplaced so one day I put the new ones on for the day and noticed I couldn't see far distance clearly. I was just getting ready for surgery so did not have time to address it right away. I then had a family emergency and need to spend 6 months on the West Coast. The issue was my prescription was not done right, I can read, shoot pool and watch TV but cannot drive with them. They, of course, said I could come in and they could take a look but that doesn't work for me now. What they should have done is focus on the customer by doing a thorough check when glasses are picked up, not glancing around the room and calling it good. Instead the focus is up selling. I was shocked at the juvenile sales technique I encountered. I had stopped in once because I was next door at my surgeons office and did not have my glasses with me and I can say that I am not confident my experience is typical of this business but I did have a very poor experience that will cost me money.

I went to Newsomeye for the first time on Friday. They were timely, kind, thorough, and gentle during my eye exam. Shay and Jackie were lovely and made the whole experience of getting glasses a really wonderful experience. I highly recommend!

Anthony the COA was excellent. He was very friendly, professional and efficient. Big smiles and wonderful personality. Dr. Szabo was very good and explained findings. Very efficient. The front desk staff were courteous. Overall very happy with service.
