Gotta share this great experience: Our team of volunteers were in West Jefferson working on a disaster recovery project from hurricane Helene. On our first night in the area, I accidentally stepped on my glasses when getting up in the middle of the night. Without my glasses, I was going to be severely limited in the tasks I could do for the team. I stopped in to the optical department at this Walmart and the friendly staff immediately put me at ease, looked at my broken glasses, and assured me they could take care of my issue. Within minutes, they had fixed my glasses and - with complete surprise to me and with a smile on her face - I was told there was no charge for the service!! What a fantastic relief that this friendly and quick service happened at no cost! Thanks so much to you all and blessings for your kindness to an out-of-town stranger!!

The Walmart vision center employees all were very knowledgeable about there products and help me pick out the pair that looked the best on me. It is always a pleasure to do business with them

Hands down the most caring and hard working members in the vision center. They are always finding ways to give back to the community and are always quick to offer help.

Being told that they don’t have a eye doctor until November “but that still would be faster than getting in to see someone else” is crazy to me then “you’ll have better luck in Boone”. No apologies no information online. Just an overall bad experience.
