If you plan on getting your prescription filled online, DO NOT seek service here. I had a very frustrating experience with this eye exam service. After completing my exam and receiving my prescription, I requested my PD (pupillary distance), which I had clearly stated from the beginning that I would need. However, they refused to provide it. After I realized it was missing from the prescription, I called and was told I needed to either come in person or request my records online. I took the time to go back in, only to then be told they still could not give me the information. This lack of transparency and consistency is unacceptable, why wasn’t this clearly communicated from the start or even over the phone? I was also told this is a teaching institution and that they “cannot provide all information to patients,” which makes no sense when I paid for the service. If certain information isn’t included, that should be clearly stated upfront before taking a patient’s money. Overall, this was a waste of my time and very disappointing. I would have gone elsewhere had I known I wouldn’t receive complete results from my exam.

As Veteran who bring my family to NSU optometry I always have a good experience with the front desk staff especially with Ms. Simone. For several years Ms. Simone has been consistent with attitude, demeanor, and professionalism. She has helped my family and I multiple times. I appreciate her for truly understanding what customer service means. This review is basically acknowledging the great service I alway receive by Ms. Simone, residents, and doctors. Thank You Ms. Simone.
My first impression was unsettling as there were no appointments available however the schedule coordinator GiGi said ill put you on a wait list. I was hesitant but GiGi called me a week later and there was an cancellation and I was able to be seen by the docto. I write this review in the most humble way. Im very grateful for Dr.Perez and the entire low vision department. Ive been to numerous optometrist/ ophthalmologist and no one has ever not only given me a better understanding of how i can see and took time to understand what i see. She listened, gave me several options , came up with a plan. The entire staff made me feel so much better about my eye condition. Gigi was amazing. Dr.perez thank you for giving me a way to see and not giving up until you found a prescription/ plan that can help me in my daily living . She had an assistant i didn’t get his name but he was very knowledgeable and made me feel better about being able to adapt to my vision after so many years of not being able to see without any type of aids. Thank you again!!!!!
I’ve been visiting all of the Nova Optical locations for at least 13 years. The medical staff is phenomenal. My issue has been with the eyewear shops. The specialist in the shops use to be A1. Very knowledgeable of frames, brands and sizing. This appears to no longer be the case. The frame shop specialists have incorrectly sized frames for my children for 2 years straight. Last year, unbeknownst to me, my 7 yr old daughter was stuck with adult sized frames due the shop being out of children frames. I was told the frames could be fixed to fit her more after the lenses are complete. Which know I see was a push to just buy. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. After receiving the finished frames, my daughter had continuous issues with the frames falling off. We took the glasses back to the NMB location three times, each time they warmed the frames to mold them to fit tighter. But the frames kept falling off my daughter’s face and looked ridiculously huge. By the third time, the frames had been bent down so much they were unrecognizable. I was then told some bs about it being past 30 days and nothing could be done. $300 down the drain. This year my teenage son was pushed to pick out frames that were too small at the Davie location, as a result of limited selection options. The lenses didn’t cover his eyes completely. All we received is an “oh well”. $450 down the drain. Save your money and go to Lens crafters. They stand firmly behind their 30 day money back guarantee. Lens Crafters doesn’t push you just to buy something and they have sales. Nova appears to only be good for the thorough exams. While the eye wear shop has become a money grab. Please do better. No one should have to waste hundreds of dollars in this financial climate.
“Worst experience ever. I placed my contact lens order on May 15 and nobody can give me an update or even tell me the status of my order. Every time I call, no one seems to know anything. Extremely frustrating and disappointing customer service, especially when patients are depending on their contacts. Communication and organization need major improvement.”
