I waited four months for an initial consultation with Dr. Neelima Tummala, and the experience was a total service failure. Despite a 9:00 AM appointment, the doctor was 32 minutes late. When I was finally seen, the encounter lasted exactly 6 minutes. As a healthcare professional myself, I found the conduct of both the doctor and her clinical staff unprofessional. When I expressed concern about the delay, I was told by the junior clinician, "This is healthcare; you can't expect the doctor to see you when you make an appointment." Dr. Tummala arrived visibly angry, repeatedly cut me off while I tried to explain my history of nasal trauma, and performed a perfunctory exam that did not address my structural breathing issues. Note to patients: Save your time and effort. I had to file a formal grievance through NYU Patient Relations and initiate a credit card dispute to get my fee back. NYU ultimately admitted the service failure and voided the charges. It is clear this office prioritizes volume over patient care and professional respect.

I really liked Dr Shikara but as with some of the other reviews here, I received a huge surprise bill. The practice never offered an estimate for a routine ENT sinus new patient appointment or told how much they bill for this when they know they charge over $2000. Most NYU Langone affiliated practices proactively send estimates for amounts of this nature beforehand so I feel pretty shocked by this bill. I would NOT have gone to this appointment if I knew my out of pocket cost, which I think they know hence not sending estimates beforehand. Totally irresponsible!!

Irresponsible staff, poor communication between medical staff members harms patient. I scheduled a procedure that requires a special diet and making arrangements In advance for time off work. After several telephone calls and messages via MyChart with reassurance from NYU nurses that the doctor would be contacted regarding the prescription required for the procedure, I had no choice but to cancel the procedure since the prescription had never been sent. I cannot imagine what is happening at NYU inpatient facilities and ERs if their staff cannot manage something as simple as prep for a routine outpatient procedure.

I was in NYU Essex crossing for medical services and I have to say and have to take my time to complement two receptionists for there outstanding communication, both receptionists work at your 171 Delancey Street office. I have been at the above location twice in the last few weeks. Yesmarlyn and Arleen are both exceptional Polite caring compassionate. My husband has Alzheimer’s/dementia and he get’s confused very fast and want to do everything by himself. The help he got and the patience these receptionist had for him was just incredible. I was take by there love and caring and doing there job with an heart. The two receptionists names are below Yesmarlyn and Arleen meet George at two different offices visits. The time they both took to listen to his slowness and what he wanted to say was something I haven’t experienced in as many facility I have been with George. Thank you so much. Please convey my appreciation to both of your receptions Yesmarlyn and Arleen. I’m not sure which one we meet first and which one was the second reception But both are exceptional staff members on your team.

I went yesterday to see a gynaecologist Dr Meena J palayekar, my appointment was scheduled at 2:30 pm, I reached there at 2 pm , completed all formalities and put all information in a tablet that they give their patients for registration. I completed all their process. I waited for 1:30 hour for my turn to see a doctor but when I asked the staff that its been so late how much time it will take me to see a doctor, they replied that they have not registered me in their system and this is why I was not called by the doctor. Then they asked me to wait more and request doctor to stay long to see me because its their mistake that they did not register me. The doctor was also in a hurry. I was so frustated , it took 4 to 5 hours there. The staff was also very rude. They again made me wait for one hour just for a 2 minute blood test. When I asked them why its taking so long they told me very rudely that everyone is busy. However there were no other patients at that time. I had a very bad experience .
