I began seeing Dr. Flood in 2018 where I was put on TRT, having low numbers in the 300s. I was still a healthy 38 year old and did well for 7 years. My numbers stayed in the 700s and I ate good. The problem came when the Dr. moved to Oschner. Her office moved me there but after my 2nd visit I was told I would need to find a new doctor since Dr. Flood was moving to cardio. They had no doctors that could take me as a patient and referred me to a ENDO. She refused to refill my TRT saying it looked good, despite a 6-9 month waiting period. It took about 3 months to notice horrible effects of stopping abruptly. My T levels plummeted to 68 serum and 1.5 total in just a few months. I still find myself struggling to restore my HPA with massive issues. Pain, stiffness, cortisol and sugar issues, skin issues all despite eating well and finally getting back on TRT. Oschner prioritized their needs and wants over my health. I will never again trust Osner with anything regarding my body. Any doctor, any clinic, and any hospital should know you don’t stop someone’s TRT abruptly. after 7 consecutive years. Messages sent to the doctor explaining that I was having trouble finding any doctors to accept new patients to her and her nurse practitioner were ignored with no response. I was never rude, nor did I ever abuse anything. I have no idea why I was treated that way by Oschner.
