If you need any type of eye surgery, Dr. Laquis and his team are exceptional. Both my wife and I needed our eyelids lifted and the procedure and recovery were easy. The results were great. Not only could I see a full field of vision, several people commented I looked younger. Win Win.

Took my 9 year old for a bump on her eyelid. We were referred here by her pediatrician. The first appointment was nice and thorough. He explained to us that she would need a steroid injection and how to do the aftercare. They numbed her lid and she did not feel a thing. We went for a follow up about a month later. She needed another injection as the bump was not fully gone. She was not afraid at all as the fist appointment went so smoothly. This time experience was very different. The doc came in quick, injected her right away without a warning or numbing. We were told not to follow up any more. My girl did not cry but I could tell she was in pain even when we got home. I did not appreciate that experience being overlooked and rushed through the procedure. I was expecting better especially for a child. Very disapointed Update: I talked to the office manager. She apologized said there is no excuse for this, they are having an "off" day collectively in the office today. Maybe you should not be in the healthcare field then? Do not recommend this place, especially for children
Dr lanquis did my eye lid surgery. He's very professional as well as his staff. Very pleased.
After having spent six months having multiple eye surgeries to try to save my right eye, the decision was made by my prior surgeon to refer me to Dr. Stephen Laquis. We weren’t going to be able to save the eye, and Dr. Laquis was going to perform an enucleation (eye removal). During The surgery, Dr. Laquis found a cancerous tumor behind the eye with cancerous tissue, also invading the interior of the eye socket. There had been no checking for cancer by the prior surgeon, with the exception of an ultrasound, three months prior to meeting Dr. Laquis. Dr. Laquis didn’t know what he faced that day, but because of his skill and experience, I know, beyond the shadow of a doubt that this man has extended the longevity of my life. When I came out of recovery and it was explained about the cancer, Dr. Laquis already had a plan. My surgery had been on a Friday. He wanted me in the office first thing Monday morning. And when we got there, he already had me set up with an excellent Oncologist and radiologist, and he had already discussed my case with both of them. Additionally , he also referred me to an excellent Ocularist who created my prosthetic eye and used a hand painted iris created by my artist wife. (But that’s another story and excellent review, lol) It’s hard to describe how you feel after a saga like this. But, I have an overwhelming sense of gratitude for God having put Dr. Stephen Laquis in my path.
I absolutely hate to leave anything but a wonderful review, but my experience being diagnosed with ptosis, which is weakening of the eyelid muscle to my understanding… I went to see Dr. Laquis Who said I needed both eyelids lifted and yes, I do have a slightly droopy eyes to begin with. The initial procedure was in the surgery center where I was put out with a twilight anesthesia. That did not seem to work. My eye was still quite droopy. This was my right eye. My left eye looked great. Dr. Lise then did a revision on my right eye in the office which was quite painful. He put a suture under the lid to lift the eye. After that my right eye, which was the problem I looked quite bizarre. We waited a few months with hopes that it would drop Since the two eyes were very unsymmetrical with no success. So I went back in again, another in office procedure that was quite painful. He cut into my eyelid to release the suture and then add stitches to the eyelid. My right eye is basically with just a tiny bit of difference the same as it was when I walked in the office originally. I’m sure if you are going for a cosmetic procedure with the eyelids all would be fine if you were diagnosed with ptosis in one eye, I would not recommend this office Dr Laquis is a very pleasant person. But for necessary eyelid surgery, I would seek elsewhere.
