The cataract surgery went well and everyone was helpful and nice. That was in the surgery center upstairs in the building. I was allowed in to assist my 81 year old mother. Two days later we came for a checkup with the doctor. The office was packed. Probably 15 patients waiting to be seen. Poor planning. There was another woman helping her mother with paperwork. Suddenly the older receptionist yelled across the room at me that I wasn't allowed in. Very nasty. Of course I left. Now hanging out in the lobby with about 10 people waiting for COVID tests. Perfect! I looked at the door to the office and there is only a sign to wear a mask. Nothing about no one allowed who isn't a patient. I am very disappointed that a surgeon's office would employ such a nasty individual. In my opinion medical care should be done by those who have compassion not anger. This woman should be transferred to a different position where she is not the “face” of the office. Totally unnecessary to be mean when most of the clients there are older people who just had surgery and can't see well enough to fill out any paperwork, etc.
