Optical World Aventura Mall

I have been a client for more than 10 years, across 3 locations inside Aventura Mall. The previous owners, Dr Leo and his wife, in addition to running a profitable business, had a warm, human way of receiving and treating clients that made you want to return whenever you needed anything. They also had a warm, professional staff who knew their clientele and treated them with love and respect. The difference in customer service since last year is abysmal. The ambiance is tense and not welcoming. The young man assisting the doctor before the exam was borderline dismissive and rude. Which is short of the interaction with a young saleswoman, who was even shorter and more disrespectful, perhaps I was not meeting her commission expectations?. I am surprised that the new owners would allow the destruction of a profitable business due to poor hiring judgment. Lots of improvement is needed.

Dr. Leo is great! However new staff total opposite. Young lady at the desk is very rude. Gentleman that sits on the side unwelcoming as well. I’ve been coming for my annual exams for the past 2 years and I definitely won’t be back. Came in last year prior to my annual this year to ask if an adjustment could me made to my glasses, without even thoroughly examining them the gentleman told me nope, we can’t do anything but you can buy new frames. Fast forward to this year noticed him as soon as I walked in with my same broken glasses I held on to. Didn’t bother to welcome me but sure did to all others coming in. I asked young lady for the non name brand frames to stay within my allowance that my insurance provides and I’m passed about 2-3 black boxes with glasses that cost just as much some even more expensive than the name brands on the shelf. Once I declined wanting to come out of pocket hundreds of dollars I was basically dismissed with attitude. Requested my prescription and left.

The thought of going into any vision provider location always comes with the fear of “shopping” for what to wear after your exam. But at Optical World at the Aventura Mall I can tell you, not only do you have a team of sales/customer service professionals by your side, but they come with an entire cheering section behind you as you go through the motions of trying on frames and selecting a style that suits your preference. Sales associate Malé was exceptionally helpful when it came to providing recommendations and insight(no pun intended). She gave me options, honest feedback and true professional discretion. For her expertise and enthusiasm, I am extremely grateful. From greeting to exam and until frame pick-up my entire experience at Optical World at the Aventura Mall was an absolute delight. And though the drive for me is a bit far, I find no inconvenience with making the trip knowing my care and the quality of service will not be beaten by any local providers I could choose from instead. Thanks again for the walk-in appointment and the fast turnaround to pick up my new Meta prescription Ray Bans. I’ve never been more happy in a pair of glasses tailored made not only for my eyes, but for others to admire as well!

I’ve been coming to Optical world for over 10 years. All the Staff have always been very professional and friendly. Just yesterday I was in for my annual visit and I had a lovely time with each person I interacted with, they were all very helpful. The doctor even changed my prescription and was probably one of the most engaging and informative I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Keep up the great work! Also they always have some of the most stylish glasses with a variety you can choose from!

Do not waste your time here. I bought $900 pair of Dita sunglasses and they put in prescription lenses. I posted my review which had 40,000 views and somehow they were able to have it removed recently. They butchered my glasses and on top of that the person at the counter got very aggressive with me. If you make the mistake of going to this place for ANYTHING, you will be sorely disappointed
