Went in for new glasses part way through the exam the Dr said I needed cataract surgery and she wouldn't sell me glasses. I had already been told that by my eye doctor, when I had him check specifically for them, but he said they wouldn't need the surgery until worse, as they were not to that point yet. I just needed a slightly stronger lens. Very very unprofessional, I wanted to save on cost, but will just buy them from my doctor's office now.

My husband regularly gets his vision exams here. I went to purchase him a pair of prescription sunglasses as a gift, and they refused, telling me his prescription was expired. It was not, they just didn’t update their files accordingly. I had to contact my husband and ruin the surprise because the staff was too lazy to check. Furthermore, when the glasses came in, the staff member looked at my husbands glasses and refused to adjust them for him and said they weren’t purchased there. They clearly were, and we had the receipt proving so, but again- too lazy to check. Know your produc. Lazy staff, but good prices.
My husband was fitted for his first pair contacts, given a sample pair, and was "taught" to put them in. He was given no written instructions and they did not have him back for a follow-up appt. He ended up going to a different provider to get the correct prescription!! I was astounded at their lack of care and service. I was glad that, as a long time contact wearer, I was able to help him.
Love the optical department at my location always helpful and courteous. It would be nice if you carried safety glasses. My husband and son in law both need them and this is where we get all our glasses. Sam's Club carries them but would prefer to shop in one location.
I have had terse experiences with the sales staff in Granger IN. I have been an executive member of Costco for 20 years. They have turned me away consistently for not filling sunglasses ( not purchased from them ), and other frames not purchased from them. If I want to take an inexpensive frame in to get a lens put in, I’m the customer and will accept responsibility for the consequences! I WILL NOT refer anyone to this optical department- I will go to other Costcos- anywhere other than here- not helpful, or nice, people
