Optometrist Inside Sam’s Club

Dropped off my frames to get new lenses. Penny was amazing, extremely helpful. Received a text to pick up the glasses once they were ready, text said they close at 7pm. Got to the optical center at 6pm, waited about 10 minutes, no one was in the optical center and there was no sign up saying “out to lunch”. The employees and the coach at the customer service desk noticed no one had helped me yet and began looking for the optical employee. The manger explained that she was not able to help me get my glasses because she does not know the department but she did continue to look for the optical employee. The customer service desk also explained that they were not able to page the optical employee. Finally, 30 minutes later a man comes walking in from outside wreaking of cigarette smoke and the women at the customer service desk explain to me that is the optical employee. He goes to the back for a few more minutes before coming back to help me (I’d hoped he was washing his hands). Jamie returned to the desk to get my new glasses still wreaking of cigarettes. He wasn’t very friendly or apologetic for the long wait. There were still two other patrons waiting for services as well.

I always have the best experience with the staff at the Sam club’s optical department. They are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable and always always willing to help. I brought a pair of frames in with me to have my lenses removed from another pair of glasses and put into The new frames. They gladly took them to the back room. Let me do some of my other shopping when I came back to pick them up, They were ready and in perfect perfect condition. I am so grateful to them. There’s another young lady there. I believe she was a manager, but she’s not in the picture, she was outstanding and was the tech that went out of her way to help me . Thankyou again for your excellence in customer service. My son had his eye exam here today. Penny was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Roney was fantastic. All the staff are amazing and made him feel very comfortable. Thank you all so much ❤️

I brought in a prescription from another optical place I was having issues with. Elbrea (I hope I spelled it right) was extremely helpful & went above & beyond to get my contacts ordered. Knowing I was in a hurry for them, she noted on my order to call me ASAP. This young lady is an asset to Sam's Club. She is very professional, kind & I will come here from now on. Thanks for the great service.

I went here a week ago and told Michelle from the optical center that America's best was going to be faxing them my prescription. I get there and she tells me it just came in but they can't honor it because it says "expired" on the sheet.. But below the expired label it said expires: 8/31/2022. It was well before that date and Michelle made up some lie that it is against the law to take any prescription information that says expired on it. I acknowledged the fact it said the expire date is 8/31 and She started to act condescending towards me saying "I'm sorry you had to waste your time coming up here for nothing" almost looking to provoke me to get upset/angry. From what I see in the google reviews it seems like even if i got glasses here, They wouldn't be strong enough to see out of. Michelle was right. Going to this optical center to attempt to purchase glasses/contacts IS a waste of time.
