Optometrist Inside Target Optical

The eye doctor I saw & Cameron who assisted me with pricing & ordering were absolutely wonderful. Pleasant and understanding, knowledgeable and helpful with next steps. A great pair to work with!!! Cameron is especially kind and friendly which was so appreciated.

Unfortunately, we never got the chance to schedule an appointment because of the poor customer service we experienced from the store manager, Josh. I called with a simple question regarding whether their office requires contact lens trials for patients who have previously worn contacts, and each response I received felt increasingly dismissive and condescending rather than helpful. In the end, I never got a straight answer & the interaction left such a negative impression that I ultimately decided to cancel my appointment altogether. Professionalism and basic courtesy matter, especially in healthcare-related settings, and this experience fell far below expectations.

I generally don’t post reviews unless I’ve had an exceedingly terrible experience or an exceptional one. Felt compelled to leave one today. 2 star because the reception rep and optometrist I initially worked with were kind, professional, and explained things well. The optometrist said if I decided I needed to change the type of regular contacts in the same brand that could easily be done, just let them know. I came in to do so and received terrible customer service from the manager Josh. He informed me I’d have to have and pay for another full exam even though my prescription was still valid. It was also in the condescending I couldn’t care less about customer service way he explained it. He’s the only reason I won’t be returning to this location.

​I am very disappointed with my recent visit. I got my glasses here before and the front desk lady was wonderful, but the service this year went downhill. The gentleman at the front desk had a cold attitude and seemed completely impatient with my questions. ​Right at the beginning, he just handed me a form and told me to sign for a $39 digital retinal imaging scan without inquiring if I actually wanted that specific service. When I asked him why it was necessary, he wouldn't even explain it and just dismissively told me to ask the doctor. ​It got worse at the end of my visit. When I received my new prescription and asked him what had changed compared to last year, he condescendingly told me that "even if I tell you the number, you won't be able to understand." It is absolute ignorance and a lack of basic customer service behavior.

Josh was very very awesome, super nice, patient and professional! Target optical is lucky to have him. I will definitely be ordering my contacts here for now on just because of him!!
