Pacific Clearvision Institute

I had an outstanding experience getting LASIK at Pacific Clear Vision Institute. Dr. Ambati was incredibly thorough, taking the time to explain everything clearly and answer all of my questions. He and his entire team were genuinely engaged throughout the process, which made me feel comfortable and well cared for from start to finish. A special thank you to Jill, who was absolutely fantastic. She was kind, professional, and made the entire experience even better. I highly recommend Pacific Clear Vision Institute to anyone considering vision correction. I may never get used to waking up able to see immediately. Thank you!

First off, I am the patient, Cal Drake. I'm using my wife's PC to write this review. My double cataract replacement is a total success so far. It was very comfortable, fast, and there was great support, I highly recommend your Institute, the totally helpful staff, and easy to understand procedures. I have only a few issues, in Dr. Mando's attitude issues. Both personal contacts were difficult, with him asking my wife to stop questions and commenting on my surgery conditions. His assistant was obviously disturbed by his bluntness as well. At the follow-up after the second surgery, he pointedly ignored her. I was surprised at how unfriendly he was overall, and how irritated he seemed to be with us. He was just flat too blunt! I do not wish to have him as my contact to eye care. He is a really good surgeon and thoroughly knows his business but his people skills fall short.

I have had a very positive experience with Pacific Clear Vision Institute, from the office staff, to the technicians, nurses and doctors, they have always treated me with respect, kindness and professionalism. My interaction with Dr. Ambati has been exceptional. He is kind and professional and always taking the time to explain the needed procedures he recommended for my healthy vision.

The only reason I am giving four, instead of five, stars is that some of my experiences at the Pacific Eye Center were cold. My experience with Dr. Mando felt rushed and impersonal. And before my actual surgery I was physically cold waiting in the very air conditioned operating room before the doctor arrived. It seemed like I waited on the operating table with my head taped down and without a blanket for about 20 minutes or more. It would be nice to add some “warmer touches” to patient care and connections at this facility, over all. That said, I am so grateful for skilled and dedicated doctors who can help give back sight! So thank you so much, Dr. Mando. The helpers, nurses and practitioners at Pacific Clear Vision were very kind and personable. For a return visit I saw Dr. Ambati. My husband joined me on this visit. Dr. Ambati was very friendly and warm. We found him to be understanding and personable. Amani was our first contact on this visit. He, too, was very kind and helpful. I award these two 5 stars at Pacific Clear Vision! Thank you so much.

I had cataract removal in both of my eyes, the surgeries went very well. Everyone one was so nice and very professional. I had a great experience at the clinic. Dr. Ambati is the best, I would recommend him highly. It is such a great feeling to have my sight back, I am now 20/20 vision.
