Make that 0 stars. I have been here before and I was happy. This time I’m furious and frightened I will lose my eyesight. I had shingles and it spread to my eye. I spent the weekend in the hospital and was told I must follow up with my ophthalmologist. They told me it would be a $90 co-pay and I verified with my insurance on the phone that this is not the case. I have exhausted, my catastrophic out-of-pocket co-pay, and have no co-pays. So I printed out the paperwork and they had general paperwork. They printed out and showed me that I have the co-pay that must be paid. I explained that I didn’t have it and might lose my eyesight. I asked if they could call Aetna and verify what they were saying to me. They wouldn’t call Aetna. They wouldn’t make a simple phone call to find out that they would be paid. They wouldn’t work with me. I walked out. They don’t even have heart or understanding these people are so stupid. Just make a phone call and find out I left work for this. In my opinion, this is the worst practice worst office staff worst office manager. Having no idea What I’m dealing with she couldn’t even make a simple phone call. AWFUL

Very friendly and attentive staff, clean patient rooms and Dr. Pientka is very knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. Always get in at appointment time or a few short minutes after so never had to wait long. Been using Palm Beach Eyes for several years now and always have a pleasant experience!
I visited Palm Beach Eyes today as a new patient. I learned about them through a local Facebook group where multiple members shared positive experiences. I can certainly say these positive reviews were accurate after trying them for myself. The entire process was smooth and stress free. I was anxious going in due to prior visits with other groups, but they made me feel comfortable right away. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant. Dr. Mann was extremely professional, personable, and thorough. They use current technology which also makes for a more pleasant visit. The frame selection process was smooth, decisive, and free of costly sales pitches. I will absolutely continue using them for my eye care.
I’ve been a patient of PBE for almost 8 yrs. My experience has been nothing less than stellar. Upon arrival, as usual, I’m greeted with a smile from one of the ladies at reception desk. I saw the new Optometrist that recently joined PBE, Dr. Mann. Such a great addition to the practice - along with Dr. Mann’s tech/assistant Gisele who did the preliminary exams. Gisele was extremely detailed and explained everything clearly with an explanation of the exam. After my eye exam With Dr. Mann who is equally detailed, he asked if I had any questions before accompanying me to meet Rachel for eye glasses selection. Rachel Was such a great help to choose the right frames for my face. She provided me with options of lenses for the frames to suit my budget and appropriate glasses for the outdoor activities I do. I’d give PBE 10 stars!
The staff was very courteous and detailed. The doctor was also very detailed and took the time to explain everything clearly. I really appreciated that they asked whether I wanted to do an additional test that had an extra cost. Some other practices just do extra tests without letting you know there will be an additional charge. Would recommend.
