I moved to Durango 3 years ago and started going to Peak Eyecare because of their 5 star reviews. My appointments always start with a terrific, friendly and caring medical staff member who performs multiple eye tests using outstanding equipment for both eyes, then gives the results to Dr. Cap before he comes in to see me. Dr. Cap is definitely an incredible Optometrist who spends so much time going over the results with me. Then he looks into my eyes again to see if he needs to change anything. This time he gave me a new contact to put on my left eye, checked my vision again and decided because there was little change since last year, he recommended to stay with the ones I use now. I normally see him once a year, but he saw something mildly abnormal so he wants to see me in 6 months so I made the appointment, and will reorder my contacts next month. Many new clients stated coming to Peak Eyecare, so Dr. Capiccioli hired 2 excellent Optometrists that also work on many eye issues, dry eyes and many other specialties they all perform.What is also so wonderful about Peak Eyecare is they take insurance and the staff always checks for you to get the best pricing. They also have a fabulous selection of eye glasses and sunglasses at all price points, that the staff spends time to get the perfect look and fit! If you are in need of a carding Eyecare team this is the best beautiful and modern place to come! Always call for appointments!

I recently moved to Durango about a year ago, and after having the same optometrist back in Boerne TX for the past 15 years, I do not make a change like this lightly. From the moment I walked into Peak Eye Care, I knew I was in the right place. I was immediately welcomed by Dugan, who set the tone with professionalism and genuine warmth. The process was smooth and efficient, and I was brought back for a comprehensive eye exam that was thorough and clearly done with attention to detail. Nothing felt rushed or overlooked. When Dr. Nguyen came in, it elevated the experience even further. She brings a vibrant personality, but more importantly, she is extremely detailed and methodical. She walked me through an extensive review of my ocular health in a way that was clear, direct, and confidence-inspiring. You can tell she takes her work seriously and genuinely cares about long-term outcomes, not just checking a box. Madison and the rest of the staff were equally professional and welcoming, making the entire visit feel seamless from start to finish. I would strongly recommend Dr. Nguyen and her team to anyone in Durango and honestly within a 200-mile radius. Eye health is not something to take lightly. Getting ahead of potential issues matters, and this is a team that has the competence and discipline to do exactly that. This is now my home for eye care.

All I can say is WOW! Peak Eye care found an appt the same day I called for what I thought was my 2nd Vitreous Hemorrhage. All the support staff were kind and very skilled. Dr. Capaccioli was very personable and extremely professional. He explained I did not have a hemorrhage, which put me at ease since we're in Durango for vacation. The clinic faxed my results to my Optometrist in Illinois for my follow-up appt. I highly recommend Peak Eyecare.

This is a review I'm MOST happy to share! This office and Dr. Capaccioli are absolutely the top eye care people in my experience and estimation. First and foremost, Dr. C. is attentive to my needs, asks and answers questions, listens, and never rushes through an appointment. I have vision damage from a stroke and also macular degeneration requiring special follow-up to other doctors' retinal treatments, and he has provided encouragement and additional help that I sorely need. Every member of the staff is warm, personable, welcoming, and totally professional. The clinic facility is bright and cheerful. I've never seen better and more up-to-date testing equipment, more so than even the ophthalmologist's office I've been going to for many years. I'm never kept waiting and the phone is always answered promptly. I'm pleased to recommend this office for anyone's complete optometric needs.
