I had a very disappointing billing experience. Before purchasing my contact lenses, I specifically asked the store to verify my insurance coverage and the cost. Based on the information I was given, I decided to place the order. After my initial payment，I received an invoice showing a $0 balance. Later, I was told I owed an additional $30, which I reviewed and paid after confirming it with the invoice and my insurance EOB. Six months later, I was billed another $94. This amount was not disclosed at the time of purchase, was not reflected on my original invoice, and I have had to spend a significant amount of time trying to resolve the issue. The billing department acknowledged that the office failed to verify my insurance benefits correctly at the time of service, yet I am still being asked to pay for the office’s error. As a customer, you should know what you’re expected to pay before making a purchase. Unfortunately, based on my experience, you never know what your final bill will actually be.
