After my eye exam, I went over to Plumwood Optical to look for eyeglass frames, and the bouncer-like employee (all black clothes, tall, large) followed me around and then basically suggested I move along, without purchasing the frames. He wasn't rude or mean, but it was uncomfortable being rushed out and being treated poorly. I definitely won't go back to that side of the office.

I can't say I would do business with Plumwood Optical again. I was quoted a $90.00 charge above what my insurance would pay for new lenses. When I arrived to pick up the glasses, I was told it would be $330.00. How can you be so wrong? The optician just put up her hands and shrugged when I questioned the charge. I left the glasses behind and walked out! No follow-up from the company regarding my dissatisfaction.
Excellent service and high quality! I have been a patron, with four kids, for over 18 years (eye glasses and contact lenses). I fondly remember 3 one year old toddlers in their first pair of glasses (and eye patches)! Thank you Linda and Paul for your expertise and FRIENDly service ! Definitely worth the drive from Beavercreek and schedules of 4 kids in various activities including yesterday in the snowy icy roads on the way home !! Thank you for your safe environment and use of PPE. I don't get out much ; I'm fortunate to work from home. Please know you have been a help to me/us in so many ways. We appreciate your attention to details and your acts of kindness.
I have purchased prescription reading glasses here every year. They all fit well and so far none have broken yet. My vision insurance has been good and these glasses have been affordable.
Worst experience ever. The lady there was super rude and unprofessional. They broke frame I brought to fit with new lenses. She wanted me to buy new frames & on top of that buy the lenses. They have a pretty dismal selection of frames to select from. But more importantly she was impolite & lacked any professionalism in her behavior. Avoid this place at any cost.
