Precision Eye Doctors

I always enjoy coming to my eye appts because dr. BEcks staff are always friendly and efficient. They are gracious when I have to check in when my appt is because even though they remind me via text ( which is so helpful) I usually get it mixed up more than once. Her assistant is knowledgeable and very gentle physically when placing my eye patch or moving me from room to room. Dr. Beck always answers my questions completely and treats me like a friend. I trust her knowledge and expertise and am so happy I found her.

I’m giving them two stars. Not because the doctor isn’t good. Dr Janis Beck is great! However, Ashley, the front desk girl is rude and useless. She wrote down my info wrong twice telling me I had no insurance and would be billed $140 for my exam. I called back after seeing their name on VSPs site and finding my insurance member info and she tells me “you’re not in our system!” Um…I’m seeing that I have coverage available and that your doctors are preferred providers for my policy. She went off about how it might be her system but she would have to bill me anyway. So I asked what I needed to bring her from the insurance company to prove I had coverage and that my co-pay is only $10 and she got even more rude and says “I don’t know. I don’t even know! You can pay yourself the fee and submit it to your insurance. But I have to bill you the full charge.” She’s a rude and uneducated person who has ZERO people and customer service skills and her next job should be somewhere in the back of an office where she has NO human contact. It’s literally your job to help a customer use their insurance … we pay good money to have it and your job is to figure it out. Hope these doctors find staff that promote their business instead of doing their best to reflect poorly on it.

Greedy, greedy. Wait times exceed 30 min. I paid for an exam they require but insurance doesn't cover. Using a credit card insured 4 percent charge. I asked if my vision had declined much and was told it always does. I checked my rx at home and only one eye had miniscule difference. Had I known this I would have paid another $80 for contact lens rx as my old one hadn't expired. It's been a month and still no contacts. I mentioned the crusty eyelids and was told to use eye drops 3-,4 daily. That's unrealistic.

Dr Beck became visibly angry and tore up my medical records in front of me. I was visibly pregnant, my young daughter, who became frightened, was present, and two reception staff members witnessed the incident. This behavior was extremely unprofessional and distressing. I hope the clinic takes steps to ensure patients are treated respectfully and safely.

My appointment was for10:30 I was called back to see the doctor at 10:32. Wow!!! All the latest were extremely friendly. All up front costs were explained in detail. I will be going back today for my glasses. Thank you, Angela S
