My family and I have been patients of Primary Eyecare for decades. From years of exams, eyecare, glasses and contacts and recently cataract surgery oversight. I find they keep up with the latest technology, techniques and equipment on top of simply being nice and patient listening professionals. Dr Van Hoven is our provider that we trust and return to year after year, even my daughter who is a Dr that resides in CT within a prestigious healthcare community comes back annually to Dr Van Hoven for her eyecare needs. The group at Primary Eyecare is that special in the care they provide.

A tennis ball deflected off my racket and went straight into my eye. It didn’t look good, so I went next door to Primary EyeCare to have it checked. The staff were very nice and friendly and did their best to accommodate me. I was seen by Dr. Van Hoven, who was very friendly and helpful. It seems like a great place to go for walk-in care when needed.
They were able to fit me in on the same day when I had an eye emergency and everyone on the staff was very accommodating. They took time to discuss the diagnosis and treatment with me and quickly corrected an issue the pharmacy had with the prescription that was given.
In general primary eye care does an amazing job. They have the latest technology and I felt more comfortable with their exam and diagnosis than I did going to Vanderbilt. Dr. Ken Young was awesome and very informative. I have recommended family and friends to them.
Love this facility. Young lady at front desk told me my Medicare would pay for a large amount of my bill. I believe I asked when I turned 65 if it would pay and was told no. I don’t know if they’ve changed Medicare or not but I’m really grateful to this young lady for letting me know this!
