For most of my life, I honestly never put much thought or effort into eye care. I’ve worn corrective lenses since I was 12, so an eye exam was usually just a necessary stop on the way to getting a new pair of glasses. Quick appointment, new prescription, move on. That changed today. On the recommendation of my wife, who is already a patient, I scheduled a new patient appointment with Dr. Bobell at Progressive Vision Center. From my very first phone call through the moment I paid and walked out the door, the entire experience was exceptional. Every member of the staff I encountered was polite, professional, welcoming, and incredibly thorough. More importantly, there is a genuine atmosphere there that is difficult to fake. It is apparent that these people enjoy what they do and care about the patients walking through their doors. I first called Wednesday morning and was originally scheduled for September 14. During that initial conversation, the staff took the time to learn that Fridays worked well for me if a last-minute opening became available. By Wednesday evening, they were already calling me back to offer a Friday morning appointment. That level of attention and follow-through made an impression before I ever stepped into the office. A special thank you to Mandi, who was absolutely wonderful and helped make an already excellent first experience even better helping me decide on new glasses. Then there was Dr. Bobell. The examination itself was thorough, informative, and unlike the assembly-line eye exams I had become accustomed to over the years. We also had such an enjoyable conversation covering a variety of topics that I suspect my appointment may have taken considerably less of his time had we not gotten along so well. I left feeling like I had received actual eye care rather than simply an updated glasses prescription. There is a significant difference. As a Canton native, I’m almost a little embarrassed that it took me this long to truly “shop local” when this caliber of care was right here in town all along. Dr. Bobell, Mandi, and the entire Progressive Vision Center staff have absolutely earned a new long-term patient. Could not recommend them more highly.

Make sure your insurance covers the eye exam and glasses. They will not tell you anything till time to pay. $800 glasses is quite expensive.
Progressive Vision Center in Canton,IL is amazing, everyone is an absolute professional. The people there are extremely polite and helpful and I'm glad it was recommended to me.
Dr. Cassy and her staff are an asset to Havana and the surrounding area. She's thorough and patient in her exams and explanations. I am grateful to have such comprehensive care close to home.
Dr. Buzcko and his staff are very friendly. The staff take the time to answer any questions about your insurance coverage if you have questions and are willing to take as much time as you need. Dr. Buzcko is willing to take as much time as you need to make sure that you are comfortable with the information that he gives you. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He is personable and makes you feel at ease while he is examining your eyes. If you are looking for an Optometrist this is an exceptional option and I would highly recommend Progressive Vision Center.
