Dr Ono’s care experience is good, however despite being covered by insurance and paying in person, there were post visit additional fees that not only weren’t explained during payment but surprised me negatively. When I reached out to customer service and asked further questions I did not get a deeper reason behind the post visit fees. I would not recommend coming here unfortunately.
Dr Winten was so good with my daughter. This was her first visit, and she was nervous, and very scared to get the eye drops. No tears were shed, no hands needed holding. She was so patient and kind, answered all the million questions kids have, and made my daughter so comfortable and at ease. We got a prescription for glasses and picked out the frames same day.
Repeatedly, this place has made us wait 30+ minutes for the doctor after nurse check in. Today he pulled a no show and I had to ask front desk for an ETA 30 mins after our appointment time, only to be told the doctor isn’t going to make it today because of a family emergency…. One time is ok, but for this to be happening repeatedly every single time we are here is not acceptable. Patients time is just as valuable as yours. I will be looking for a new pediatric optometrist.
Professional and kind staff, clean office and building, plus a surprisingly short wait time after I finished paperwork! They were very patient with both myself and my young son who was the one there for an exam. The doctor and assistant both explained things very well and I appreciated that a lot. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for quality eye care.
My son has been seeing Dr. Carlson since he was 4. They made his eye exams, getting his first pair of glasses and every recheck since then a positive and encouraging experience for him and our family. I’m grateful they are in our neighborhood and so kid friendly.
