Company: Rainbow Optics Date: March 14, 2026 Subject: Termination of Services and Formal Complaint Regarding Billing Practices To Whom It May Concern, Please accept this letter as formal notification that I am terminating my relationship with Rainbow Optics, effective immediately. I will no longer require your services, and I request that my patient file be closed. The primary reason for this decision is my dissatisfaction with your billing practices. Specifically, I have received "after-appointment" bills that were not disclosed or explained at the time of service. I regard these unexpected charges as deceptive hidden fees. Transparency is a fundamental expectation in healthcare services. Receiving additional invoices long after an appointment has concluded undermines the trust necessary for a provider-patient relationship. Requested Actions: Account Closure: Please confirm in writing that my account has been closed and that no further appointments will be scheduled. Records Transfer: Should I require my medical or prescription records to be transferred to a new provider in the future, I expect full cooperation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Billing Review: I request a formal review and a detailed line-item breakdown of any outstanding "after-appointment" balances currently linked to my name. I trust this matter will be handled promptly. I look forward to receiving confirmation of my account closure. Sincerely, Scott T. Griffin

I visited the eye clinic for an eye exam, and the doctor was fantastic! He explained everything in detail as needed. However, I’m writing this review to express my disappointment with the receptionist. When I checked in, everything seemed fine. After the actual appointment, I planned on getting glasses, the receptionist informed me that my insurance wouldn’t cover it. I explained that I had already spoken to them about it because I’m pregnant, and they should have covered it. We walked over and let the front desk receptionist know I was pregnant. She responded with a dismissive “Well, that would have been nice to know,” and they both looked at me without saying a word. I had previously stated that I was pregnant, and I had explained that I had already reached out to my insurance company months prior. After the receptionist made her comment, she said she would need to call my insurance, which I agreed to. However, after the call, she informed me that they hadn’t updated their records. I explained that I had spoken to them about this before, and I would reach out to them again. The receptionist’s behavior and comments were unacceptable, especially considering that I myself work in a receptionist position and know what not to say to or around a patient.
They possess the spirit of true service. As we are called to be diligent in all our duties, so too are the practitioners here. From the moment one enters, there is no cold indifference, but a prompt and attentive welcome. The staff attends to the needs of the neighbor with a patience that is rare in these hurried times, ensuring that each examination is performed with scrupulous accuracy. Consider how rare a virtue it is to find genuine fidelity in our daily transactions! I brought to them a pair of glasses purchased four full years prior, burdened by a broken screw that rendered them useless. Where another might have turned a neighbor away or demanded gain for so small a remedy, they took the time, with great gentleness and skill, to repair the frame completely. Such an act of selfless kindness demonstrates that they value the person far above mere profit.
I love Rainbow Optics and Dr. Gustavson. The Willakenzie shop in particular is my favorite. They were super helpful in changing a credit card charge for me and letting me know about proper glass sizes for my progressives. Great experience from beginning to end.
AWFUL place to go, they take advantage of elderly customers. Charge them then tell them it was a mistake and they will get it taken care of. the receptionists working have the courage to YELL on the phone and call me a liar. Then the “manager” Sean thinks he’s nice and helpful but he is very rude and UNHELPFUL. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! They don’t know what customer service is
