I visited Dr Earl Scharff in South County with intense eye pain and swelling. Dr Scharff discovered an ulcer on my cornea from a contact lens scrape which got infected. I had lost my vision in my right eye He sent me to Dr Elliott Pearlman in Fall River, who said he would wait for me to arrive. I was there within 2 hours. He waited at the end of his day. Dr Pearlman initiated an intense assault on the infection by contacting a pharmaceutical chemist in Warwick for two compound pharmaceuticals. The chemist stayed open awaiting my arrival. Dr Jane Cook took over the following day for a follow up. I saw her two days in a row. I am being monitored every two days and we are seeing positive results. These doctors are exemplary and I am so grateful for their support and service. I cannot thank them enough.

Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. The only aspect that is difficult is waiting for the scans to be completed at the conclusion of your annual appointment. It took long. But the exam was thorough and I felt taken care of.
The staff are competent and courteous. I am always impressed with their attributes. It is a pleasure to go here. I give them the highest marks and highly recommend their practice.
Most complete eye exam I have ever had (age 80)… probably this enabled by testing equipment so up-to-date it must have just come out of boxes! Have known Dr. Z for at least a decade and this showed as he noted the changes in my various eye issues. Yur in gud hands !
I am impressed with the medical care. The problem is that, for an 8:30AM appointment, I had to wait almost half an hour before being seen. No apology. Additionally, as soon as I walked in I saw a crayon colored trans flag at the check-in desk. This is completely unprofessional. No one displays straight symbols-no one should display symbols regarding sexuality in an office. This is something personal, and should remain that way. People should not be confronted with personal symbols while seeking medical treatment. They do not have anything to do with the Eye Institute, other than making it seem highly unprofessional and juvenile.
