I had visited as a walk in for an eye exam. The staff was prompt to check me in but the issues started after Dr Rizwan inspected me. Not only was he rude and didn't answer my questions, he scared me into taking additional tests saying something might be seriously wrong. He mentioned that he needs to take a deeper look by administering eye drops. He also mentioned that the effect of the eye drops will last for 2-3 hours. I realized that this is not true as my vision was impaired for the entire day. I only got it back the next day His diagnosis after scaring me was to schedule a follow up appointment in 6 months but I won't be coming again.

I feel that Riz Eye Care scamed me out of $50 buck. I took my boys in for eye exams and was told that one of them will need further testing in his right eye cause she couldn't get his prescription right. I was on the fence about it but reluctantly agreed. We waited for the test but was told that they already did the test when they dilated his eyes and took the picture then. Now his right eye is good and healthy for further examination. Sounds fishy to me.
Services at Riz Eye Care in Wharton has dramatically decline over the past several years. Doesn’t matter if you scheduled an appointment or walk in the wait time can take hours even on slow days when there is only a few people in the lobby. After being a dedicated client for over 20 years starting to thinking there are better services in town. Specially since they won’t take insurance for contact exams.
Wonderful personnel! Very welcoming, Great customer service by all from receptionist to initial exam. The doctor answered all and any questions I had. Will definitely be coming back!
