I honestly had the best experience at this clinic. From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were welcoming and friendly. Dr. Miles Sabatini was absolutely fantastic. He was personable, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. I’ve been to many different eye clinics over the years, and I’ve never had an optometrist who was so educational and willing to explain everything. He encouraged questions and took the time to make sure I understood what he was seeing. Instead of feeling like a routine eye exam, the appointment felt like a consultation. I left feeling informed, cared for, and confident in my eye health. This was easily the best optometry experience I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back, and I would recommend this clinic—and especially Dr. Sabatini—to absolutely anyone. 10/10.

The service was quick and efficient. I showed up to my appointment and this nice lady named Samantha helped me through the process. Then Cindy was very patient with my questions and antics while helping me with my pre-tests (and had some wicked cool origami art too). Doctor Nguyen was very descriptive and gave me some test glasses to help me see more clearly than I even thought possible! After I got the frames Samantha recommended I've been getting so many compliments too! Such a good experience! Important note: They only accept VSP insurance so if you don't have it save your time.
The optometrist and the staff were kind and helpful. I'm leaving a one star review because of information with insurance. My eye insurance is a bit complicated, and so I called Rockridge Optometry before my appointment to make sure they accepted my insurance. They said they did. I gave them all my information online before my appointment. Then after the appointment, they said my insurance barely covers any of it, and they charged me $268 for a routine eye exam. I don't know why on the phone or any point before the appointment they didn't tell me they didn't accept the insurance. The last optometrist I tried did kindly tell me before the appointment I wasn't covered well by them.
Received a outstanding eye exam from Dr Win today. She was thorough and knowledgeable. My only concern related to fundus photos taken after the exam was completed and before I paid my co-pay. Dr. Win asked me if it was ok with me to have these photos taken. I agreed, but when I got to the front desk I discovered that I was being charged an additional $40. for these photos! I definitely see the value of having a record of the retina for future comparison, but would have liked to know up front about the cost so I could have made a considered decision about having them based on the cost. I am unhappy with this situation and did not feel comfortable bringing it up in the office public area. I expected and have always received ethical treatment from Dr. Sarver and his office staff in the past. Dr. Christine Vourakis
Scheduled an eye exam appointment even though there would not be any openings for over a month (Which was fine). But when I arrived for the appointment, I’m told the doctor they scheduled me with does not take my insurance, even though they knew which insurance I had from the start. Options were to reschedule for a future date or pay $300+ for the visit. After waiting this long to see them, scheduling my day around the appointment, driving there and paying to park etc. this was not a good experience. Will look elsewhere. YMMV
