Our appointment was amazing! Steam was very efficient. Dr. McCann diagnosed and then completed his treatment for my husband. We were in and out in an hour. All due to great communication with his team. The Dr. Was very good at explaining my husband's condition and treatment. They even had us schedule the next appointment, which wasn't until 4 months away.

Dr Nedrud is very thorough in his approach to and explanation of treatment options. He is very respectful. I’m in the middle of preparation for cataract surgery with one of what will now be a total of three surgeries. Upon conclusion of my initial consultation, Dr Nedrud explained that I would need a total of 4 surgeries. During the follow up to my first surgery, he found that one of my preparatory surgeries would no longer be necessary. I am waiting to heal from my first surgery. In a month, I will have my first cataract surgery. After healing from my second overall surgery, I will have my final surgery; the second of my cataract surgeries. Thank you, Dr Nedrud.
My appointment with Dr. McCann at Rocky Mountain Eye Center was scheduled for 10:00 AM, and I waited well over an hour and a half to see him. The waiting room was full of patients joking about how this is apparently normal for him, with some people considering leaving because the wait was so excessive. After all that waiting, Dr. McCann spent only a few minutes with me. He never actually discussed my symptoms with me directly. I had briefly explained them to nurses before my eyes were dilated, assuming the doctor himself would later ask questions and discuss things further. Instead, he appeared to rely entirely on brief notes, looked at my eyes, and repeatedly told me “your eyes are fine” while talking over me anytime I tried to explain what was actually happening. I was there because my vision fluctuates unpredictably, I have severe light sensitivity, and I experience episodes of blurry vision even when I am not having migraines. Rather than listening or trying to understand, he kept insisting my blurry vision was from dilation despite me repeatedly explaining this happens regularly in daily life and is the entire reason I was referred there. At one point he told me the issue was “neurological,” and when I reasonably asked whether he could explain further given that he is a NEURO-ophthalmologist, he had absolutely nothing helpful to offer beyond repeating that my eyes were fine and mentioning Botox, which I have already pursued. The more I tried to calmly ask questions and clarify symptoms he clearly misunderstood, the more visibly agitated and defensive he became, he was literally shaking. At one point he physically stood up over me and continued talking over me repeating that my eyes were fine, instead of having an actual conversation. I left feeling completely dismissed, unheard, and honestly shocked by how rude and combative the interaction became simply because I was trying to understand my own symptoms. I understand that specialists do not always have answers. What is unacceptable is refusing to listen, refusing to communicate, and treating a patient like an inconvenience for asking reasonable questions.
The receptionists were pleasant & efficient. There were 2 staff women that did preliminary tests before I saw the eye doctor. The dark haired one was pleasant but the other one (I think she was training the first one) seemed impatient & was acting very rushed. She said things to me but never looked at me when speaking. This place makes me feel like I'm on an assembly line & they are more centered on quantity than quality. I would continue to see Dr Hintz but only at a different practice.
I am very lucky to have Dr. Berryman as my eye doctor. He is amazing. He stopped my glacoma in its tracks and has allowed me to continue to have vision. The nurses are very compassionate as is Dr. Berryman. I would highly recommend him to anyone! Thank you, Curt Stene
