“I had a fantastic experience at Rosin Eye Care. The staff was so friendly, and my doctor was excellent. Before coming in to see the doctor, you can contact your vision insurance company to confirm coverage. The location is really convenient (Niles, IL)with a big parking lot, and my insurance covered both the exam and my glasses. My family also came here, and I’ll absolutely recommend it to my friends. One suggestion: I’d love to see more glasses in the $0 to $130 range, as most were pricier. Overall, a great visit!”

I had a wonderful experience at The Eye Place. The customer service was outstanding—they saw me the same day and made the visit quick and efficient. I woke up with eye inflammation, and Val was especially helpful, professional, and polite, making me feel welcome from the moment I called. The doctor was thorough and efficient, taking all the necessary steps to determine the cause of my issue. I truly appreciated the care and attention I received. Thank you to the entire team for such excellent service. I highly recommend this place Mala
I normally use the Northbrook office but they were booked so I used Niles instead. I had my last exam 6 years ago and this office made the whole experience easy, quick, and painless. I was very impressed that they squeezed me in last minute and got me in and out so quickly. No high pressure sales at all!!
Prior before coming here a few years ago, I had been seeing my eye doctor for almost 20 years. I never strayed from him because when I did, I felt like no one quite “understood” my eyes like he did. He had moved all the way to Vernon hills, and did not accept my insurance so it became tedious to have to drive out there either for an appointment or if I needed contacts. My mom had suggested I try rosin as she had been going there for awhile and really liked it. Rosin is a five minute walk from my home. I gave it a try even though I was nervous, and I cannot be happier. From the front desk (heather) to management (Elena) to the doctors (dygola, thampi, and rosin), I feel so welcomed and comfortable here. I even got LASIK done here, which I didn’t even think was possible for me. Great staff, great place.
AVOID IF YOU ARE SEEKING LASIK THROUGH COUNTYCARE INSURANCE First the positives. The office is very clean, all of the people I interacted with during my exam were professional, and overall the visit ran smoothly. They are a fine office if you are looking for a place to get your annual eye exam, refills on your contacts, or new glasses. They also offer Lasik but I can't speak to that process except as below. If you do not have CountyCare Insurance, the rest of this review does not apply to you. The 2 star rating comes from a single issue: they refuse to fill out a form from IL Medicaid (CountyCare) that serves as an initial screening for Lasik surgery at either Stroger or Providence Hospital. This form asks for basic eye health information including current prescription, length of time at this prescription, and brief information about any structural eye issues such as glaucoma, cataracts, etc. The point of this form is to serve as an INITIAL SCREENING at an outside facility - completion of this form does not guarantee that the patient will get the Lasik procedure. That determination is made by a separate practitioner at Stroger or Providence. The part that I can't seem to understand is that this form can be completed by ANY OPTOMETRIST! Target optical, Costco, LensCrafters, etc all fill out this form because it is an INITIAL SCREENING to ensure that there are no obvious contraindications to the patient getting the actual Lasik exam / procedure. This office has cited liability concerns as their reason for not wanting to fill out the form, yet there is not any liability to deal with because all of the information they would provide on the form will be re-confirmed by a different optometrist before the procedure! This makes no sense!!! I have gone through the process repeatedly with multiple CountyCare representatives that all have stated that this office should be able to fill this form out. If this office is going to have a contract with CountyCare and get payments from them, they need to provide all of the services that CountyCare members are entitled to including the filling out of this INITIAL SCREENING form. If the office declines to do this, then they have no business seeing patients with CountyCare insurance and should not be listed as an in network provider. The salt in the wound is that communication to me by this office regarding this issue has been lackluster at best. I had to call them with a supervisor from CountyCare to even get in touch with the Office Manager. Then they were supposed to call me back with an update yet never did - they say they left a voicemail but I have no history of receiving a call or voicemail from the office at all. If you have CountyCare, know what you are entitled to with your coverage and go somewhere else. I'll update this if any progress is made regarding the issue but I don't have high hopes. Edit 1: Rosin has responded to this review with a canned, likely AI, response about striving for customer satisfaction with no real description of actions being taken to address this issue.
