Horrible and discriminatory experience. My wife had a terrible encounter at this eye clinic. She has Medicaid coverage, and when we called to schedule an appointment, we were told they accepted our insurance. However, when she arrived, they suddenly refused to see her, claiming that the person who booked the appointment was new and didn’t know they don’t actually take Aetna better (Medicaid). When we tried to cancel the visit and leave, they said we would still be billed as a “no-show,” even though it was their mistake. This feels extremely unfair and discriminatory — treating someone differently just because of the type of insurance they have is unacceptable. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. We will never return and strongly advise others, especially Medicaid patients, to avoid this clinic. I definitely will report them to IDHS because of discrimination!
