The new Suncoast Community Health Center in Ruskin looks great - clean, bright, and very comfortable. The atmosphere feels welcoming, and I really liked the little coffee station with friendly staff. Parking is big and convenient, with plenty of handicap spots, although they tend to fill up during busy hours. The pharmacy on site (and the drive-thru!) is super handy, and the staff overall are kind, helpful, and professional. Wait times are much better than they used to be at the old location, though sometimes things still take longer than expected - especially when it comes to lab work or blood draws. One thing that definitely needs improvement is the lunch schedule. The pharmacy closes from 12:45 PM to 2:00 PM, which isn’t listed anywhere. I arrived at 12:47 thinking lunch started at 1, and had to wait over an hour. It would really help if this exact time was posted clearly - online, on the door, everywhere - so people can plan better. Overall, the new office is a big step forward - modern, comfortable, and well-run. Wishing everyone - staff and patients alike - all the very best!

This review is for the women's care clinic. The worst service ever. My wife and I arrived to the Clinic at 1:50 and they didn't want to take her because they said she was supposed to arrive to the clinic at 1:45 eventhough her appointment was at 2. We explained that we tried coming on time but we couldn't because of traffic since there was construction on the road but still they didn't want to take her. The front office lady was very rude talking to us. She spoke to us as if she owned the place! They didn't take us eventhough there was no more patients in the clinic. I would stay away from clinics like this with no integrity or sympathy for people.
Last Friday (5/15/26) I went to the dr about pain I’ve been having in my knee. The practice I go to has multiple doctors across various offices. When booking my appointment the registrar asked if my info was the same and I told her I moved so when I told her my new address she recommended I be seen at the office closest to my home. I get to the appointment and the doctor comes in and says oh why did you come all the way here instead of where your primary care is? Me: because I live closer to this office. Dr. Hmmm…. Proceeds to ask questions about my knee and how I injured it. After her assessment she goes to the computer and says ok I see in your chart you’re allergic to narcotics. Me: no I’m not… where does it say that? Dr: sorry I must have misread… but we don’t prescribe them here. Me: ok but what’s wrong with my knee? Dr. The best I can give you is meloxicam. Me: ma’am idc about pain meds I just want to find out what’s wrong. Dr: Ok and I can give you a muscle relaxer, also I’m only going to give you these for 14 days, if you need something stronger you need to see your primary care. Me: can you also order an X-ray or something???? I just need to know what is wrong with my knee… it’s been hurting for over a month! Dr: hmm ok I’ll put in a referral for X-ray but for any additional meds contact your primary care. Me: I don’t need additional medication why do you keep bringing that up??? In the moment I didn’t realize what was happening but as I was sharing my experience with someone else I realized the doctor didn’t take me seriously and was basically accusing me of being a drug seeker!!!! 😩😩😩😩😩 I’m too afraid to take narcotics!!!! I would never ask for them. I think it’s best I find a new office to affiliate with. I received horrible treatment at the Wimauma location before too. Which is why I was glad to go to the Ruskin location. SMH
I came here back in February and so many Hispanic which let me know it's more donated for them which isn't my problem the issue is many don't speak English and don't help anyone if they don't speak Spanish. The receptionist in optometry informed me she'd call back in February and it's now April and I've called their phones and again 8 calls each ones Hispanic and they seemed put me on hold and they don't come back to the phones..My issue is we need people who are actually willing to help customers that speak actual English and I'm not a patient their thank God... I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
I would like to express my immense gratitude to the entire team. During a moment of vulnerability, I was met with care that was deeply humane, patient, and empathetic. From the reception staff to the medical and nursing teams, the professionalism and kindness shown made all the difference to my well-being. Thank you so much for honoring your profession with such love.
