Sam's Club Optical

I visited this location to purchase prescription reading glasses. Apeksha helped me through the entire process. Her manager, Shantell, and her provided me with 5 star service. They were both exceptionally pleasant to talk to and went out of their way to assist me (I ask LOTS of questions and I'm very detail-oriented, lol). Apeksha was extremely patient and gave me whole hearted advice. I asked her to imagine me as her daughter, and not to sugar coat, and she delivered! I tried on at least 20 frames. I couldn't have had better feedback if I had come in with my own sister. I'm leaving here feeling very excited about my new glasses and I have an uplifted feeling due to their sincere and warm customer service.

The only reason I’m giving a four star review instead of a two star review is because of the manager, Shantell. Being a longtime Sam’s Club Member and a Sam’s Plus Member, I absolutely adore the atmosphere in Sam’s but a team member Apeksha was outright rude and awful. We initially came in with my prescription and insurance information and were told our insurance would NOT be taken, and that is fine. The next day I went to Sam’s and another employee at the Sam’s Optical Center who told us we were able to get what we needed because, YES our insurance was taken at Sam’s. We bought the glasses and the young lady assisting us said that we have 30 days to come back if we have any issues. About a week later the lens on the attachment was feeling loose, so we took them back into the Sam’s to get them looked at. The day we went, I also took my daughter and her prescription for glasses… unfortunately I was assisted by the same woman who turned me away without checking my insurance properly, Apeksha. She was extremely distasteful in the way she spoke to my daughter, who is simply there to assist me and make her purchase BUT ESPECIALLY when she spoke to me. Telling me my “FRAMES WERE CHEAP, AND THATS WHY THE LENS IS COMING OUT.” What so Sam’s sells cheap frames? I’m confused. I have insurance, I have the proper memberships and I’ve bought more than one pair. Now, I noticed that this was done when there was practically no management around and just other customers with concerns. FORTUNATELY the manager Shantell assisted my daughter and made my entire day better, we informed Shantell of Apeksha’s attitude towards customers and we are hoping this changed in the future. This Sam’s is near and dear to us, in the heart of Sugar Land. We have Costco memberships but we choose to go to Sam’s for the environment. Please do better, Apeksha. Thank you Shantell for assisting us and changing our entire experience.

I went to the optical center for a minor repair on my glasses and I left in less than 5 minutes. I am very happy with service!

I had a great experience and was handled by the combination of two reps. Apeksha mostly took care of me and was trying to find me in the system to do a warranty job on my glasses. She had some issues finding me, but then Shantell came into the picture and helped retrieve my information, and they set me up really nice. They ordered my replacement ,and within a few day's later they called me to for the pick-up!! I left both time's satisfied 😌 and happy with my glasses perfectly fitting upon my beautiful face!! Thanks Shantell and Apeksha for your time and professionalism during my visits with y'all!!

I really appreciate Shujat patience with as he went over and beyond to show me how to use the Sam app for a fast check out! Not only did he show me how to use the app to check out. He also show me a hassle free way to place and order at the cafe as my kids tells how hungry they were as I check out our grocery’s!! Thank for all that you do Shujat! Keep up the excellent customer service!
