The reason for the single star has nothing to do with the doctors in this office. They are both great. It has everything to do with one of the front desk people by the name of Trent. I will say that if it wasn’t for the excellence of the rest of the staff, I wouldn’t step another foot in their door. He is rude and condescending and it would benefit the office greatly if someone would sit down with that man and give him a strong lesson on customer service. I have a follow up appointment in March, 2026 and will most definitely let Dr. Chin know how I feel and why. Trent is a terrible representation of their otherwise helpful and knowledgeable office staff.

​I had an excellent experience at this optometry office in our cute downtown Pleasanton! The location is absolutely perfect—being right in the heart of downtown makes it so convenient to pop in for an appointment while running errands or grabbing a bite to eat. ​Dr. Chin is truly wonderful; he is incredibly personable, takes the time to listen to your concerns, and makes the entire eye exam process feel relaxed and thorough. Beyond the great clinical care, they have a fantastic selection of frames to choose from, with styles that you definitely won’t find at the big-box retailers. ​I’m a huge advocate for supporting local small businesses, and I couldn't be happier that I chose this spot for my vision care. If you are looking for a professional, friendly, and convenient place in the area, I highly recommend Dr. Chin and his team!

The folks at Vision One were awesome! It was our first time there and we had the last appt of the day. Dr. Chin and the front office assistant were so helpful and patient with us-explained and answered all our questions expertly! They even stayed late after closing time to finish up with us, no pressure to leave. We are very happy so far!

My visit, as usual was wonderful. Doc fit me in with my husband's appointment. It's awesome to have a cool doctor. We can discuss shows we watch. It's a fun time and I was reassured my eyes are ok. Even bought new sunglasses 👍🏼
