Ruby at Sam’s Optical Center was outstanding. From the moment I walked in, she was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me find the best option for my vision needs. She took the time to answer all my questions, explained everything clearly, and never made me feel rushed. What really stood out was her honesty and customer service. She went above and beyond to make sure I understood my options and felt comfortable with my decision. In a world where great customer service can be hard to find, Ruby is a perfect example of how it should be done. If you’re visiting Sam’s Optical Center, ask for Ruby. Her professionalism, patience, and dedication made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. She’s a huge asset to the team, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing eye care services.

The customer service here at this location was ok at one time but has gone downhill in the last several years. I went in a few weeks ago and asked the employee in the optical center if I could order a box of contacts before my RX expired which I had 2 months left remaining before it expired. David was the only person working at this time. He was on a phone call and he made sure this call went on and on, he seemed like he was annoyed that anyone was waiting on him so he took his time on this call...so after about 30 minutes and a line of people had formed behind me he finally came over to assist me. He let me know that my insurance amount for the year was already used up from my previous order earlier in the year, so I said I'll just pay out of pocket then proceeded to tell me that I could not order anymore contacts from Sam's for some lame reason that made no sense. (My rx had 2 months remaining until expired) It was clear he was just making up bs excuses and he also had an attitude that he had to help me at all. I asked him to just give me a copy of the prescription and he said I can do that but also let me know that my Dr. will probably not approve it if I tried to order anywhere else because it's too close to your renewal date. So I left and called the Dr.'s office and checked on what David had told me and of course the office told me that as long as your prescription is not expired you can order as many contacts as you like. I ordered with another eye care center and had contacts within 3 days. Another thing is here at this location, the choices of frames are slim. Sam's, you need to check your Optical centers inventories and customer service.Your employees should not be able to tell your customers whatever they want because they don't want to do their job. I won't use this location again!!

I had an excellent experience here with David helping pick frames and dispensing my glasses. He was courteous and professional while measuring my bifocals and explaining our insurance coverage and lens upgrade options. Saved money shopping here instead of at my optometrist's office. Highly recommend shopping for glasses here and making use of your Sam's Club membership!

Staff was very helpful and fixed my lopsided glasses. I had accidentally laid on them. So the were very crooked on my face. She took the time to to get them started out and fit was much better.

After shopping at a few places for new glasses, a friend suggested Sam’s Optical. I went to the Sam’s Optical on ElDorado at I45. Vanessa was very helpful. She took pictures of me wearing several frames with my phone, which I sent to my husband to view. I chose 2 frames, one for regular glasses and one for sunglasses. Vanessa was very thorough while taking my measurements with her iPad and verifying them with a ruler while I was wearing each frame. She explained the difference between the 2 choices of progressive lenses and the price for each. I was impressed with the level of service I received. I ordered the 2 pairs of glasses. I expect I will be happy with my purchase when the glasses arrive approximately 1/8/2025. 5 stars for Vanessa!!!
