My experience with Dr. Philip Ngai and SGV Eye has been the best. They treat me like family. I have had serious glaucoma and thought I was going blind but after surgery my vision is 100% better. I highly Dr. Ngai and don’t hesitate to get surgery here. It will be the best decision for your eyes and pressure and vision. It was the best decision I have made for my health.
I had successful cataract surgeries on February 19 and March 05, 2026 performed by Dr Thomas Vo. Both surgeries had excellent results. My vision was very clear right after the surgeries. Dr Vo’s You Tube videos about cataract surgeries were very helpful understanding the process and what to do, expect and avoid after my surgeries. Dr Vo answered all my questions clearly during the post operation and succeeding follow up visits. Thank you very much Dr Thomas Vo and all the courteous staff of San Gabriel Valley Eye Group. I highly recommend this group to anyone who needs cataract surgery treatment.
Dr. Vo is very professional and has a wonderful bedside manner. My mom had cataract & astigmatism fixed on both eyes with a multi focal lens and no longer needs glasses. Very happy!!
I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Dr. Ngai for truly saving my life. Dr. Ngai has been treating my glaucoma for several years. At every office visit, he would ask, “How’s your asthma?” and my answer was always the same: “Uncontrolled.” He could hear the wheezing and knew something wasn’t right. I had already seen two pulmonologists, but neither seemed to care how miserable I was using steroid inhalers and medications without any improvement. Dr. Ngai encouraged me to seek another opinion and even guided me on where to start looking. Because of his advice, I found Drs. Cheng and Camarillo, who quickly recognized that I had been misdiagnosed with asthma for the past six years. I was correctly diagnosed with tracheal stenosis and have since undergone three surgeries. My surgeon, Dr. Camarillo, told me that I reached her just in time. Dr. Ngai, I am incredibly grateful and feel so blessed to have you as my doctor. I know I am in the very best hands.
I came in legally blind and now I have 20/20 vision! I upgraded my lens and now I have no more glasses and no more struggles. And great staff and customer service. If you need Cataract surgery or Lasik vision correction go see Dr Ngai IMMEDIATELY!
