After an eye exam and written prescription, I got some glasses. The prescription written was very wrong. I called Santiam Vision source to try to get answers. No one answered and no one ever returned my calls. After I gave up on them ever returning my calls, I got a new eye exam at Costco. My new prescription was great, but very different from Santiam Vision. Don’t use this place. It’s terrible
My eye doctor for 30 years but office staff leaves a lot to be desired. Changed doctors.
If you have anxiety, or just want ppl to be kind to you, dont go here, esp if you have ohp. The receptionist is clearly one of those ppl who was a bully in high school then went into the medical field. They gave me an anxiety attack as soon as i presented my insurance card, refused to offer me any reassurance, and instead doubled down on the possibility of me having to pay them directly bc "sometimes this insurance doesn't pay us." With a really impressive sneer. Who said bullies cant teach us anything? So after that I called ohp to make sure everything was ok and when i tried to reschedule here I asked for it to be noted that I dont need to be scared when I walk in next. Once again, the receptionist refused. So, my eyes still hurt. Gotta love american medicine.
I got a referred to this clinic by my daughters doctor as we had some concerns for possible lazy eyes, she is almost 2 and we have noticed her eyes wondering or kinda getting stuck. I figured with it advertising as a family eye clinic they would be more welcoming to little ones but boy was i wrong. I will say the assistant was amazing and interacted with my little one for the few pre exam questions which she loved and she was very comfortable. Than the doctor came in not even really interacting with my child which made her feel uncomfortable and hesitant. He flashed the light in her eyes and said he thought she was fine but to bring her back in a year if it was worse. He spent all of 5 minutes max and did nothing but shine a light in her eyes. I have requested a second opinion through a child friendly eye clinic as this was a concern both me and her doctor could see very clearly and little to no effort was taken to make reassurance of this concern. Would not reccomend this clinic to anyone and if i could give lower score i would.
