I arrived to a bustling shop and front desk- someone immediately saw me waiting and got a tablet into my hands to start checking in and completing my paperwork electronically. That same person led me back to a room right on time to get started with my preliminary tests and scans. She was friendly and also took time to make sure I was comfortable and informed about what she was doing. Then on to the Doctor’s visit… Dr. Linhart was warm and friendly, and walked me through my vision health. He took the time to answer all of my questions and made the entire experience easy, informational, and reassuring. I plan to request him directly for my next exam. Estee helped me choose a new pair of frames. She walked me through different options, gave me good tips about comfort and fit, and guided me towards the perfect pair. She also managed some magic when reviewing my insurance to make sure I could get the best possible price. I’m planning to pick up my new frames in the next couple of weeks. The staff at Severna Park Eye Care excel in service and friendliness, but are also knowledgeable and honest. I have nothing but positive things to say about this location.

Dr. Luna at Severn Park Eye Care was absolutely wonderful! 💕 She was the sweetest and incredibly patient with my 6-year-old, taking the time to explain everything to him and walk him through every detail of his eye exam. It made the whole experience so comfortable and positive for him! The office itself is beautiful, and we were taken back for his exam before we even had a chance to sit in the waiting room. After the pre-exam with the technician, who was also incredibly kind, we had only a very short wait to see Dr. Luna. From start to finish, everyone was welcoming, kind, and professional. We had such a great experience and would highly recommend Dr. Luna and Severn Park Eye Care!

My first visit at this Opthamologist was AMAZING! I had been looking for somewhere to have my eyes checked and this location was recommended. From the time you enter, someone is waiting to greet you with a warm smile. My appointment flowed from eye testing to seeing the optometrist. All of the employees are extremely knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. They make you feel very comfortable. It was important to me that they had updated Technology and this location has ALL technology needed for eye testing. The environment is very clean, soft music in the background to set the atmosphere, great lighting and there are plenty of rooms for testing and doctors. The optometrist (Dr. Caldwell) was finishing up with a patient before me and took the time to come over to the room where I was, to let me know that he would be right in. When the optometrist came in, he was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing and explained all testing and what they meant. He gave recommendations and allowed me to make informed decisions about my eye care and eye wear. I love the way they value their customers and I noticed that everyone was being treated the same. My brother came to this appointment with me and will be making an appointment here soon. He has his own ophthalmologist; however, the service here is EXCEPTIONAL. The optician (Hayley) also took the time to make sure I had the frame of my choice and there are an array of glasses in any brand you desire which are affordable; from eyeglasses, sunglasses, sports glasses, and much more. It is an absolute honor to recommend Severna Park Eye Care for ALL VISION needs. This location provides Holistic eye care and works as a TEAM which goes above and beyond to provide each customer with the best possible service. Make an appointment or Walk-In TODAY, it is WORTH it.

I am writing this review with a tremendous amount of sadness. I have been a patient of Severna Park Eye Care for over 20 years, but after today, I will be switching practices. At my appointment last year, I arrived on time and waited over an hour to be seen. At one point, the doctor came out and explained that another patient was having a medical emergency and that there would be a delay. While frustrating, I understood and gave the practice grace because I had been a loyal patient for two decades and had always had positive experiences. Today, I had a 9:00 a.m. appointment. I work in Washington, D.C., and there was a major accident on I-95 this morning. Despite leaving with plenty of time, traffic was at a standstill. I called as soon as I realized I would be late and honestly explained that I was running about 15 minutes behind due to the accident. I was told my appointment would need to be canceled and that they could not see me for another two weeks. I explained that my bachelorette party is next weekend and that I was hoping to be examined beforehand because my vision has worsened and I have been experiencing headaches. I also explained that I did not have enough contacts to last another two weeks. I was told in response that I could not been seen until the 29th but I could stop by for samples. When I arrived at the office at 9:14 a.m., the front desk staff barely acknowledged me. They handed me sample contacts, only enough for 10 days, not enough to get me to my rescheduled appointment, and I genuinely felt rushed out the door. Unfortunately, today was my last visit to Severna Park Eye Care. When your office experienced an emergency, I extended patience and understanding. When a patient of more than 20 years encountered an unexpected highway accident and was delayed by barely over 10 minutes, the same grace was not extended in return. I called another eye care practice, the one my fiancé uses, explained the situation, including that my appointment had been canceled and that I was running out of contacts, and they are made a special effort to see me tomorrow. Loyalty and compassion matter, and today I left feeling neither valued nor cared for. My family has belonged to this practice for over 20+ years and after today we will be taking a step back.

I have been going to SP Eyecare for many years and I can't say enough about the kind, caring and professional staff there, from the ladies at the desk, the opticians, the ladies and gentlemen who help you with checkbout and frame selection to the wonderful doctors! Today I saw Dr Cameron Rowe and was very pleased with the care I received! He was very thorough and took his time to show me how my vision was with my current glasses and with my current contact prescription vs how my vision would be with just one contact for distance and using readers. By switching to just one contact I'm also saving a lot of $ so I appreciate him suggesting that! He was also very kind, caring and professional! Keep up the great work SP Eyecare! 😊
