I love Dr. Jacquelyn Williams-Blakey! I’ve never met someone who is so thorough, thoughtful, kind, honest, and helpful. The office is very warm and welcoming. Her office partner is a treat. The entire experience is lovely and I will never change optometrist as long as I’m in Michigan! They accepted my Medicaid and my glasses were affordable. I was not pushed into getting things I did not need. They also have a wide selection of very stylish frames and I got my glasses promptly. I cannot say enough good things about them!

Dr. Jacquelyn Blakey came highly recommended by my ophthalmologist, Dr. William Lucas. When I arrived at the beautiful, historic Detroit building (fireplace and all) where she’s located, I was impressed. She unlocked the gated parking. Greeted me at the locked front door. Once inside .. what a friendly, knowledgeable woman. And her office space reflected pride in what she does. Great selection of amazing eyeglass frames .. set in a space that would rival any high-end spa. The soft music, the pineapple mango fragrance, the old polished hardwood display cabinets, floor and ceiling. The eyeglass and frames’ cost was very affordable. Insurance accepted. Can’t wait to pick up my new glasses! I highly recommend Dr. Blakey and would definitely return .. Lynn Elliott

I had an excellent experience getting an eye exam and picking out glasses at Sharper Vision. Dr. Blakey and John were both very kind and welcoming. Dr. Blakey was incredibly knowledgable and answered all my questions, and even had some great advice for me that I had never heard before, as well as product recommendations. I would definitely recommend this independent, private practice and will be back for my next exam.
