Absolutely love Dr Schmitz, Kristie, the shorter lil lady with short hair and everyone on the cataract surgery team. My regular eye Dr found that I needed cataract surgery in one eye and I was referred to Sharpe. From the first time I talked to Kristie on the phone to moment I walked out of my last checkup, she was amazing. Kind, friendly, helpful. Dr Schmitz and the whole staff explained everything about the cataract removal process to me and when I had questions, they didn't make me feel ridiculous for asking. Beautiful building. Clean, modern offices. Highly recommended. We are moving in a month and I may need the other eye done eventually. I will miss this team but I'm super happy to know that Sharpe has offices in TX too!! Thank y'all so much.

PROCEED WITH CAUTION!! 2nd : See response from Dr Sharpe—The problem is you did not go to great lengths to explain it to me. If you had, I would have known! Instead I was told it would be $90 up front and was told to sign a form for uncovered charges. It was not explained it would be for uncovered charges the day of the consult cause I was told that was $90! I assumed it would be uncovered charges for the actual surgery (which I was also presented with a bill for without amounts filled in —just told I would be responsible for 20% of what insurance didn’t cover and asked to sign that!). I was told $90 and billed nearly $500 which was a total surprise. Again, if it had been explained “at great lengths”, I would not have been surprised. Feels like a bait and switch money grab on your part. 1st complaint: Was billed nearly $500 due to having a deductible but was told I would only have to pay $90 on the phone when I made the appointment. Was not asked if I had a deductible and was not told on the phone I would owe more if insurance didn’t cover. I believed then when they said my out-of-pocket portion would be $90–didn’t think I needed to question them. This was only for the CONSULT—the other provider I visited (PCLi) did not charge me anything for the consult. Watch out for Sharpe Vision. I will not be using them for my cataract surgery as I can’t trust them to be upfront, honest, or help with due diligence.
I’m incredibly pleased with my LASIK procedure at SharpeVision. Dr. Sharpe and his entire staff were wonderful throughout the whole process. During the procedure itself, he talked me through every step as it was happening so I felt comfortable and reassured that all was going smoothly. Highly recommend this practice for anyone thinking of getting LASIK.
Last year I was interested in PRK but this year I finally went ahead with ICL EVO instead and the team at SharpeVision was very helpful and supportive the entire way. They were able to expedite my lens so I could still have the procedure done on the scheduled day and each step of the way was clear and reassuring. I was fortunate enough to see pretty clearly the day after the procedure but now one week out I have 20/15 vision with both eyes. Its been an incredibly worthwhile experience and I am very appreciative of the staff at SharpeVision for their professionalism and courtesy throughout the process. Dr. Sharpe really knows his way around an eyeball! The procedure was extremely smooth and Dr. Sharpe's commentary during the procedure really calmed the nerves. That or the sedative! Either way it was well worth it and I am also pretty pleased with the price of the procedure.
I was lucky enough to have my consultation with Dr. Sharpe about PRK surgery. I work as an airline pilot and didn't want any potential complications that came with LASIK. He was extremely supportive of the decision and walked me through the pre, during and post surgery recovery time line. When the day can I was obviously nervous but one of the best things with working with him was his bedside manner. Not once during the surgery did I feel scared or nervous and he did an excellent job. For those wondering about PRK, the recover is longer and that first week is not fun. But it is entirely worth it. A month later, I now have 20/15 vision. I highly recommend working with Sharpe vision. The entire team is wonderful to work with and it is both literally and metaphorically clear that this is the best place to get corrective eye surgery.
